Drew was a great prof! He was funny and a very fair grader. He offered lots of opportunities to raise your grades with thought pieces that it was almost impossible to do badly on. His two tests required a decent amount of time to do because they were mainly essays, but they were both take home, so it was fine. I would definitely take him again.

Comment:

Drew took the time to explaine everything throughly. He took the time to give both sides of every story, and let us decide which side we should take a stand on. The thought pieces we had to write each week were very helpful, and allowed us to really prepare for the next class. Drew was a great instructor and I would reccommend him to anyone!

he is one of the best professor I,ve ever have. he is very understandable and very professional. i took class with him in 2005 and let me tell you HE IS GOOD! i learn a lot with him and he change the way I was thinking before. go with Dr. Ziner and you will be a good profesional. HE IS THE BEST!!!!

I think people are just way too hard on this professor. I believe it's the younger students who don't like him, not the onlder ones. He definitely has a personality, but who doesn't! I believe going into the class, you should understand his goal is change the way you approach thinking, so therefore, you start to think as a sociologist!

I took this class knowing that it would be difficult, and some of the material was a little bit hard to grasp. But this professor saw me through it. He is great and if you need extra clarification on anything or just some extra help he is ready and willing. I enjoyed his class and his teaching so much i contemplated changing my major to it.

i read these ratings before i started his class and it scared the**** out of me. coming from one who hates writing (class is 90%essays) he's awesome!. i disagree with some of his view points, but i think thats what makes him interesting .he's a great speaker, stresses important material, grades fairly. this website doesnt do him justice

I was shocked to read the bad reviews on this professor. I took his class right out of high school back in 1995 and he was GREAT!!! Best professor I ever had. He made everything so interesting and cared whether the students were doing well. I took another soc class that was not in my major at the time just to have him again. He was GREAT

Hard as hell tests that are nothing but word for word regurgitation . definitely plays favorites. mentions his family a million times a semester. isnt able to answer most question. wears the tightest jeans since david lee roth and shows about as much chest hair. ...just..ick.

Wosrt teacher I've ever experienced in my life. He is more arrogant than my father, and thats pretty hard to top. When assigning essays of any type he doesn't want to hear your opinions at all, he wants to hear his own over and over again. He spent an entire 1 1/2 hours talking about how Psych majors suck, not cute when the place is full of them

This man is awful and unbearable, by far the worst professor I have ever encountered. He is rude and arrogant, is repetitive and boring in class, and doesn't seem to like women very much. He also favors certain students, and they get the good grades. Absolutely awful, I can't believe he's still a teacher...

He is one of the worst professors I have had. Much of the things he says is interesting but he cannot decipher between opinion and fact, even though he claims he can. The book assigned for the course had plenty of opinions within he does not believe it. On the exam, there are open-ended questions, but he only wants his own answers.

Not one of my favorites. If you go to the lecture and take good notes then you're fine...his exams are all essays. But the class itself wasn't overly exciting and he's too liberal for me. But I felt like his class was pretty easy and he does know his stuff if nothing else.

Drew is a difficult professor to follow. He is scatter-brained constantly. He is not a very open-minded person either (not a good quality for a professor). If your opinions aren't that of his, he will argue with you until he's blue in the face. Best way to deal, agree with him in your papers.

He is a brilliant man, but he is a little big-headed. He says for us to email him if we need questions, but when I emailed him, he said he didn't have time to check my work. Again, he's brilliant and displays the concepts well, but it doesn't seem like he cares whether the student learn or not.
