if you want to teach yourself A&P, listen to someone else's dumb, unrelated stories and get an easy A that means nothing, take a class with mark perkins. even the biggest idiots got As in his class because it is so easy and he just doesn't care. i was pissed that i paid to teach myself this subject.

I took him three times. He still looked at me like I was a stranger. He dies not lecture on what is on the test. I should have gotten an A on note taking alone. It is ridiculous how much work you put into a class and feel like you get nowhere. Get ready to be confused.

Mark is a great teacher. His teaching style was pretty casual, but he meant it when he told us to study. Tests were fair, subject matter clear and lectures and labs were very helpful. I hope to have him for another class sometime. He opened up the world of biology for me.

Mark's a very smart, nice guy, ok for a teacher. study his powerpoints, take notes on any videos he shows and be sure to go to lab. goes off on tangents about personal, often inappropriate, subjects. close to retirement so burned out on teaching and it shows. not very organized. tests are straight forward, he gives study guides so use them.

Prof Perkins is a funny guy. It'd be cool to kick it over a beer and talk bats. The tests don't seem to hard if you were in class. I don't get the point of the labs tho. Alot of coursework for a summer class, but that's probably the schools doing. Obvious he wants to retire he seems over it and thats the most dispointing thing.

Mark is a genuinely nice fellow, with some interesting quirks. He's very personable and helpful. As an instructor, he knows the material very well. He is not perfectly organized nor is he perfectly consistent. Highly recommended.

Mark is great. Just find your rhythm with A&P and know that he points you in the right direction to do well, but you have to do the work. Partner up and study his Powerpoints for sure. Read the text as well for an absolute A. Having a sense of humor really helps too. All the best!

Good teacher. Very clear about what will be on tests. Wants students to do well. I had a different professor for A&P 1 and he is a million times better. And for all the negative comments. REALLY! Come on folks, it's A&P, you are going to have to study a lot outside of class. I would recommend this prof.

Most self absorbed teacher ever! His grades reflect if he likes you or not, not on your actual scores. Many students had to apply for a grade change because he cannot add.One positive, my friend got an A cause he added her scores wrong. If you want to learn something that's not about his personal health problems, save yourself and take someone else

I took all my A&P classes with mark and got a good grade main advice is to study his notes. and only use the book as a reference. you will need the book to understand the concepts a little better. really cool guy and he will work with you. Talk to him. good humor, at times laughs alone lol Take his advice and get into study groups it really helps

Fairly nice guy, but horrible teacher. Tells stories and doesn't go by the textbook...therefore makes studying for tests difficult. Powerpoints are basically bullet-points - w/o explanation. Take him if you want a good laugh and some trivia - not if you want deep, thorough understanding of the material.

Wow was mark wrong about a LOT! His lectures were totally off point, and the class spent half the time trying to reorient him to the material. However, if you ask him about himself (it's true he doesn't like anatomy questions) and ask him for a better test grade, he'll work with you! easy A.

Like other reviewers have said Mark is a great guy. Super funny. However he is a horrible teacher. His notes are scattered. He lectures about his personal life and not the subject at hand. I'll be nice and say he does prepare you for exams with exam reviews. However you will be teaching yourself EVERYTHING on your own. Hope you like reading.

Mark treats his students like adults. You need to STUDY his notes. You need to know your stuff and put time into the class. He is an easy grader. If you study and try, he knows it, if you dont, your grade will reflect it, bottom line.

He's just not my favorite teacher I've ever had. In a lecture hall of almost 100 people though I think I'll give him a pass on few things. I did find him to be extremely disorganized and attendance is only mandatory because there are no make-ups on quizzes for any reason. End result... will not be taking anatomy from him.

this guy HATES answering questions. he will hate you if you ask him one thing. he dissappears during lab, does not know the material because he doesn't care and just talks about his wife and food and his knee. but hes easy if you suck up to him, so suck up hard.
