Comment:

The way he thinks of math is very difficult to understand. Im clueless about what he explains and find a much easier way to do the problem simply at home. He sucks at expaining ahead of time what something means. Tests are hard to with suprises. Only take him if you are good at math.

Professor Huff is not an easy A, but is very clear and can walk you through complicated subjects until you understand. I thought he was a fantastic teacher, but as others have said, DO the homework! Each class builds on the homework you did the previous night.

Avoid this professor if you need clarity. Prof Huff is not clear and make things more complicated than what they are.When I asked him an explanation, he said I can try a different book.I had a 4.0GPA but it lowered only cos of this class.Im now taking calculus with another prof & during the 163 review I understood concepts that Huff made it hard

He teaches the material for mastery, so we will be comfortable using it in real-life applications. Print the notes out ahead of time, do the reading and the homework. He is easily accessible through email and office hours.

He grades hard. I attended every class, printed out all the lecture notes beforehand, took MORE lecture notes, read every chapter assigned, took notes on THAT, made notecards, did all of the homework, and STILL failed the course. And I have an IQ of 140. Something's wrong with that. Fortunately, I still learned a great deal and am happy with that.

Dr. Huff is an incredibly kind, caring professor, cognizant of his field. He treats mathematics very intuitively, without sacrificing too much on rigor. He works very hard to not scare students, and help them more deeply appreciate mathematics. I didn't get an A, for reasons entirely my own. He taught it so well, I re-did the course in a week (A).

I just finished taking statistics with this guy and ended up with a B. I would not recommend him for the novice math learner. You MUST study really hard to pass his exams. I am really glad that it is over. If you dont want to study hard please dont take him, but if you want to learn and if you study hard, it is not impossible to pass.

Hello. I just started this class yesterday and boy, I should have listened to you guys! This guy reads directly from the book and projects it out on the screen. He uses a microphone so that students can hear him. I really need this class, so I guess I am stuck with him.

This is the worse teacher I have ever had for my Algebra II class. He expects you to know all and always recommend tutoring. Lazy and not efficient. Don't take classes with him you will lose your money.

This guy teaches Calculus the CORRECT way. Uses lots of real world applications to better understand the material, works out problems with all the steps AND puts them online (including homework)Shows different ways of solving a problem, and tells you how to use the calculator as a tool. Attend classes, because he does reviews before exams. HELPFUL.

Hard to understand. Not willing to help. If you need extra help before, after or on break he advises you to get a tutor. His class is very boring, he hides behind the overhead all class. Homework is ALL ONLINE. Test consist of 5-10 hard Q's. Prof seems to have social anxiety. seems nervous upon approach and guarded.

After not taking a math class in 15 years i got an A in Huff's class. How? Because i did the homework! The program he uses for homework is an incredible tool for understanding and practicing the material. It was like having a tudor right next to me. He was always available to help if needed. Tests were very well structured. Do the Homework!
