Professor Lotto has by far made my academic transition to Lehigh from high school very enjoyable. He is a very personable guy, who definitely cares about his students. I found that many of our class discussions got a little distracted but I think that his teaching style could be appreciated by all different style of learners.

Nice guy, and class goes by fast. Very specific about what he wants in a paper. Will make you completely rewrite a paper when you meet with him if he does not like the topic. He is a hard grader and expects a lot from a freshman.

He's a nice guy, really cares about the subject, the books he assigns, and his students. discussions often go on tangents (really long and often pointless ones) so if that kind of thing bugs you, stay away. We read 6 books and watched 4 movies. I didnt learn a lot, but the class was fun, and I think the Prof. is a good guy.

Very nice guy and gets to know everyone in the class. He lets you rewrite papers for better grade. However, he takes waay too long to give back papers. Tends to make class topic slightly narrow.

Nice teacher, cares about English. However, the class discussion sometimes gets away from him. A good amount of reading - I had to read 5 books in a semester for his class. All in all, not a bad teacher. Class left a little to be desired, though.

He's a nice man and gives very easy quizzes, just be expected to read about 6 books a semester. During class he goes off on tangents which leaves you feeling very uncertain about the essay topic he just assigned. Very unclear, but nice-if you want to do well, go see him outside of class.
