I took basic stats with her and if people complain it's because they weren't paying attention. Lectures are VERY important she tells you what kinds of problems will be on the exams and you're allowed 4 pages of notes for the exam! If you show up and really listen to what she's saying (try to sit middle/front bc she writes small) you will be fine.

Unorganized lectures, doesn't grade exams herself, will call you out for asking for explanations in lecture, rushes in office hours. You are completely on your own for the exam. I know seven people in the section who are retaking (intro to bus class)

It was very hard to learn stats from Srinivasan. She started out the semester teaching from powerpoints, but then quickly abandoned them in favor of just talking with no notes whatsoever. If you miss a class or want clarification, she points you to the textbook. Cannot read anything she writes on the board. Would not recommend.

Great professor for Basic Stats for research, but if you skip class, you will FAIL. Literally show up to class copy down EVERYTHING and you are set for the exam. Trying to read the textbook is like trying to understand hieroglyphics, so please just pay attention in class you really dont want to have to learn from he stats textbook.

I have never been a Math/ Statistics person, but Professor Srinivasan is really amazing. Her lectures can be a bit dry but do NOT skip class, her examples and points she emphasizes are the keys to the exams. Just do the homework and make a good cheat sheet- you can get an A! She also has a ton of office hours and is good at explaining one on one!

The lectures were pretty dry and boring but she gives good straightforward examples. Learned a lot from the homework. Let's you have a cheat sheet on quizzes and exams to write down all the formulas. Youll do well if you do all the work.

She isnt the best at explaining, but from class practice problems you will be able to notice what you need to study specifically. as long as you go to class everyday (easy extra points) and then go home and do a couple of practice problems you will be fine. Exams are almost identical to the practice problems she goes over in class.

She is a fair professor with tons of extra credit. I got a 70 in the final, and 82 in total without extra credit. But my extra credit gives me an almost 10 point bonus in the final grade and I got an A. Just go to her lecture, make a good cheat sheet and she will make an easy A for you.

You don't ever have to go to classshe is really boring. As long as you put effort into the online homework (which there is a decent amount of), make good cheat sheets before the quizzes and tests (why wouldn't you?) and LEARN HOW TO USE YOUR GRAPHING CALC TO YOUR ADVANTAGE (yes, it can do all of the test questions for you), you'll be fine.

I had her for 3 hour lectures and it was the most boring, dry, awful experience. She's not enthusiastic about the material, she doesn't speak very clear and it can be hard to read her handwriting. She also gave up on teaching with powerpoints half way through and instead taught by just doing problems-thats it- but you get cheat sheets for the exams

She has a thick accent, which can be difficult to understand but it's not that bad. The exams are EXTREMELY easy as you get a cheat sheet for each one. Just do the homework, go to lecture (if you miss, read the chapter) and make thorough cheat sheets and you'll get an easy A.

Very easy to get an A if you pay attention during lecture, do the homework, and make your cheat sheets (you get a few pages for every exam!!). If you have any stats background, this class will be a breeze, but if not, the tests have no surprises if you do all the homework problems. She's definitely a professor that wants you to succeed.

Took her for Stats401 in Fall'16. Homework and repetition is the key to her class and help when making formula sheets for her class. I failed the first exam due to an all nighter for another exam, but was still able to ace the class by getting 100s and above (extra credit) on quizzes and the final. She cares about your grade only as much as you do

She was a very good professor, explained everything very well. She's a tough grader but she tells you what she's looking for. The effort you put into the class you get out of it. I would definitely take her again.

Homework is your best friend in this class. If you actually try and understand the homework you should be fine. Exams and final were tricky just because she expects you to understand and not just memorize and it's easy to use the wrong formulas and tables if you just looked over the notes and didn't practice. Do the HW!

She is a really nice and caring professor. She wants the best for her students even if it means staying on the same topic until everyone understands it. She is really focused on the students and wants everyone to succeed. I would take any class with her. As long as you attend lectures and do the homework, you will succeed and do well in her class.

She is one of the worst professors I've ever had. Her exams are focused on questions not relevant to lectures or textbook material. The resources she provided are useless. When I attempted to contact her, she gave me curt, unhelpful responses and refused to help students in the class improve. I'm an engineering major and might fail her course.
