Fantastic teacher that really makes sure he takes the time for you to understand the material. He has plenty of office hours and always available through email. Make sure you do your homework so you do well on quizzes and in turn well on the exams. He gives you plenty of options to get your grade up if it slips but he will make you WORK for it.

Attendance is a pretty big deal, but won't kill you if you miss for a real reason. He teaches applications of math, not just crunching numbers which is nice. He loves word problems but it really does reinforce the problems. Very willing to help you understand.

Great Math teacher. He is really down to earth and always available to help. The tests are oriented on what is taught in class and on the home work, no surprises. He is the first math teacher in my life that said "technology is a tool and it is important to know how to use the tools to solve problems in life ."

Mr. Owens is the best math teacher EVER. He makes even complex concepts seem like a cakewalk. Even if you don't understand something, he will spend however long you need until you understand it. He even spent 15 minutes with me right before I walked into the testing center. He doesn't make you feel like your stupid if you don't know something.

take him take him take him!!! the GREATEST math teacher on earth! i'm horrible (and that's an understatement) at math... but i did mth180 in a summer mincourse and passed with a high C... he's the first teacher i've ever had that knew how to teach math without making it sound like a foreign language...

Did 182 in 5 weeks this past summer. He is AWESOME!! I HATE math, but this guy used practical examples and made it all make sense to a totally non-math person like myself. He cares about the students, wants to see you do well, and will help you to do that. Take him for ANY math.

He's an alright teacher, but he tries to trick students on quizzes and leaves stuff out of instruction so people will either do the "optional" homework and ask about it or will do pretty poorly in his class. And he's a jerk if you get on his bad
