Comment:

I wouldn't recommend taking him again. He never cancels class for any reason, makes you sit through the WHOLE class just listen to him talk about off topic stuff that has nothing to do with the lectures. I'm telling you he lovesss to talk about anything and goes on and on.. Hard to follow the "Lessons" and tests are half multiple choice/fill in.

Comment:

This class is not an easy A, but worth it. Ed is funny, entertaining, very passionate, and the topics themselves are very useful and interesting. There are only two grades (unless you opt to do a third) so make sure you TAKE NOTES DURING LECTURES, STUDY and READ YOUR TEXTBOOK for the final/midterm. Everyone is given extra credit just by attending.

Had Ed early in his teaching career at SUNY Geneseo in the late 70's. Was one of the few profs who actually took his teaching seriously. His class was one you looked foward too. Geneseos loss was Rowans gain. Glad to see he is still at it. Still use his stategies when marketing my business.

Cool guy, but don't be fooled. Tests are difficult despite the laid back environment. Make sure to read the book and take notes thoroughly. Doing well on the midterm will make the class so much easier.

Great class, so interesting I didn't have to take notes but instead became common knowledge for me. Read the chapters assigned starting two weeks before the mid term and did great with it. Interesting, fun, and you will always look forward to attending his class

The most useful and interesting class I've taken at Rowan. Not easy, but great stuff to learn. Can choose to do only midterm and final or an additional assignment. Exams are hard. You can chose how much each will weigh for your final grade before you take the final. Need to do the readings. Streb is great, but the class isn't an easy A.

If you don't have enough time set aside to actually read the book on the scheduled times it will be a pain playing catch up b/c he mentions nothing of the book in class yet the tests will reference them a good amount. FYI unlike most comm. classes this is one I would see it possible to actually fail while trying not to. Lol

dont be fooled, extremely hard class. you have to "qualify" to do extra assignments to help your grade. doesnt teach out of the book so you have to read it, doesnt write any notes on board, no powerpoints, no study guides or review. dont take if you need elective, you will regret it.

Streb's class way by far the most interesting class Ive had at Rowan, but my knowledge for the class did not reflect my final grade. He's a hard grader and the midterm is ridiculous and the final isn't much easier. He himself is funny and makes the class time enjoyable. Take at your own risk. This class ruined my 4.0

One of the most interesting professors ive ever had at rowan. He shared a lot of anecdotes and stories w.o. being preachy or irrelevant. If you take notes or listen in class, don't rlly need the book. I only did the midterm &final (so each weighed 50%!) but I still got a B. And there are lots of grading options that i just didnt take advantage of

On the surface, it looks to be an easy course. Professor Streb is very funny and he makes the classes interesting. However, it can be seriously HARD with only 2 tests and a project. Read the book and use those points wisely to spread your grade out. Don't be fooled on the first day like me.

I was really looking forward to this class before i took it and didnt like it. Seemed like a joke class, but with work required. Att is required or u fail. Weird grading system and overall. Very clear and fun class, but it all an act, and the guys an ass. Knowledgable in his field. Good freshman class, but i dont recomm him or the class

Streb is probably the greatest person you will meet at Rowan. I had him a couple years ago and never had so much fun or actually learned as much real world knowledge than I did in this class. Must take class while you're stuck in Glassboro.
