His class was a decent class, the test and quiz are not hard, if you read your notes and the lab manual you will be fine. There will be like 3 or 4 projects that you will need to do, as well as the labs that are done in class. He teach fast, so you would need to pay close attention to what he is saying.

Zappi is a good professor but his grading is just absurd. He takes off points and makes up grades out of thin air. it's funny but at the same time flat out annoying. If a student is on the edge of an B or an B+ he will round DOWN and give them the lower grade. Reason behind this is unknown and thats really unfortunate he does that. Sad.

He is a nice guy but he is very confusing. You can tell he knows his stuff but he is not very good at explaining it. You MUST read the book or don't expect a decent grade. Also, be prepared, because he is known for throwing questions on a test that the class never learned about.

Nice guy, hard Freshman year but super nice afterward. Good lectures, clear notes, read the text before the test. You need to study, but the tests aren't terrible. Best biology teacher at Caldwell.

Many people are so quick to bash this Professor but he honestly is a great guy. He only cares about you if you care about his class obviously. If you pay attn, dont talk to others too much and attend him class he is not bad. I hate people who say negative things about him. He is fair and really is an awesome person just have to understand him!

says one thing then come exam time swears he never said that... just read ur book and u'll do fine... don't trust what he lectures all the time unless he actually has it on a projector so that if he tries to pull one on u, the rest of the class will back u up... easy though... he studder a lot and likes switching on and off the lights... always looks very nervous... tries to be funny... looks like one of those macho men... great in histology though... really helps for med school

Horrible professor. I had him for General Biology 1 my freshmen year. He ruined my dream of becoming a biologist. His tests are tricky and this man has never heard of extra credit or curving. His lectures are boring and he is very monotone.
