Dr. Yeung is a really great prof, he has such a passion for plants and it makes all the lectures great! He is very clear about expectations for the lab exam and really helpful when you ask questions. He wants you to do well so he tries to give you marks as much as he can. So funny, can't wait to take Plant Physiology with him!

A nice guy and more than willing to helpanswer questions, but his powerpoints and notes are the absolute worst. He jumps back and forth between subjects at random, making the material way more disorganized and confusing than it needs to be. Overall still an easy class.

Out of my 4 years at the U of C, Dr. Yeung has been the best. His passion about plants makes you want to be passionate about plants! He is super knowledgable on the subject, so if you're not sure about something, all you have to do is ask. He is very willing to help; and is very funny. My learning experience has been forever changed because of him.

Amazing professor. Always willing to help and extremely knowledgable. Funny guy with a lot of patience in the labs. If you put an effort into his class he will make sure you do well. Shows genuine concern for how his students do. I've had him for many courses, and will hopefully get to take a couple more with him!

Dr Yeung is awesome. Very helpful if you ask questions. Lab exams were challenging, but fair. The class I took is about plant anatomy and he lets you bring in plant cuttings from home for extra practice. He is also willing to open up his lab for extra practice prior to exams if you ask. Don't bother with the text. He tests from his notes.

Has a unique sense of humor, slight accent. His notes were good, but I personally didn't like the style. The printed notes were heavy and you'll end up with pages of info that could've easily been more concise. Otherwise he made plant bio as interesting as it could be. Class is non-cumulative, midterm was easy.

With having barclay for animals and yeung as plant section. Yeung was more boring. Slides were messy. And chunky. Highlighted lots on his slides very VERY colorful. Jokes funny. Enjoyed looking at that tuft of hair always sticking out at the back of his head. Tried to make plants seem interesting. Okay professor.

Great prof! He was able to make the plant portion of 233 interesting. He has an accent but he's understandable. Lectures are interesting thanks to his unique sense of humour. The test was straightforward and reasonable. Very approachable and helpful outside of class and has a genuine concern about student's education.

GREAT PROF! Makes classes interesting and really wants his students to understand the material and score high on their tests. Turns boring plant topics into fun jokes and he even dresses up for certain lectures. EXCELLENT notes AND powerpoint. Easy test if you read your notes. Totally brilliant prof and highly recommended.

Fantastic Proff. Lab exams are hard but not impossible. I have a history of failing lab exams and got an A. He is very willing to help if you go into his lab and practice looking at slides. One of the best classes iv ever taken.

Dr. Yeung is one of the best profs I've had at U of C and def the best biosci prof. The class is difficult (mostly because of the lab) but he genuinely wants you to do well and will go out of his way to help you if you ask. Lecture exams is pretty much out of his notes but lab exams require more time. Make sure you look at all examples!
