I took professor Davis for my FYS class and it was a very challenging class. Davis is very tough when it comes to grading papers so be prepared. There's a ton of reading as well so get ready to use the books he assigns. However, he is very passionate about what he teaches and is a genuinely good person.

Ted is a genius. You can tell he really cares about what he is teaching and he is excited to learn with us. There is a good amount of reading and homework, but it is not that difficult if you stay on top of things. He can be a little socially awkward (no personal space) and makes a lot of cerebral jokes, but overall he is a great guy.

Good professor! He expects his students to be dedicated to the coursework(be prepared to read your eyeballs out),but, considering he teaches at the college undergraduate level, this isn't unreasonable. He is passionate about his subject, kind, and very willing to assist students in and out of the class room. I am glad I took his course.

Dr. Davis is very intelligent and communicates well. His lectures are dynamic and interesting, and he knows his stuff! There is a lot of reading and a lot of writing to go with it, but if you just suck it up and actually put some thought into your assignments he grades very fairly. Great professor!

Dr. Davis is extremely intelligent and knows how to communicate well. His lectures are dynamic and interesting, and he knows his stuff! There is a lot of reading in the class, and a good bit of writing to go along with it, but just suck it up and do it well and he will grade you very fairly. Great professor!

I loved Professor Davis! I took his History of Science class over jterm with some friends. His grading system was very sensible, and he was a very easy grader, at least on my essay exams and homework. Very personable and just a nice, funny person :)

Being in his class is like watching a grenade of learning explode and you are somehow supposed to catch all of the pieces and make sense of it all. The class is a bunch of nerdy dudes yelling at each other because they can't agree on their own theories. They are not teachers...they are smart and love what they do...but not good teachers...

Ugh. I don't even know what to say. He spouts off his intelligence at every chance he gets. The class itself sounded interesting in the beginning when I signed up, but it isn't. You have SO much reading about useless information and so much homework. Overall, if you can find a better Sci/Tech gen-ed, take it. Avoid this class at all costs.

Fav class of the semester! I didn't look forward to it and had heard bad things about davis, but was sooo glad i took it with him. Amazing professor- knows his stuff and is very passionate about what he does. He'll help you out anyway he can even with post-grad stuff. You'll work hard (especially to be up to date with the reading) great class!

I disliked this class- both the course content and the prof. Very boring lectures and awful readings. Ted is somewhat cocky- if he disagrees with you he dismisses your opinion. He thinks he's always right and doesn't turn down an opportunity to brag about who he knows. He clearly plays favorites.
