Prof. Debes is an awesome guy! He makes sure to answer any and all questions. 3 speeches that aren't difficult as long as you follow instructions and show effort! Whatever you do, DO NOT use "fillers" as he calls them during your speeches for example: um, uh, errrr. He docks points for those. If you take his class you'll learn and enjoy COMM 101.

Mr. Debes is a chill and nice professor. He's easy to talk to but constantly changes his mind about assignments, tests etc. He never sticks to the syllabus and goes on bunny trails very easily. It wasn't a terrible class, but his lectures were dull and it seemed like the tests were not based on the book, but definitely read the chapters still

COMPLETELY AMAZING PROFESSOR!! He takes his time to answer any question you have until you fully comprehend what he's saying. He has also taken A LOT of time outside of class to help you out whenever you need to. I wish he was teaching more classes, because I'd GLADLY take them.

I absolutely love Ed, he's an awesome guy. I was definitely not looking forward to taking human comm as a night class and he made me love it. We had a really small class so we could joke around and have fun the whole time and I wished it lasted longer.

He is one of the best I have had at YCP. Very good teacher, hard tests though. No book needed. Go to class because everything that you need to know can only be gotten there. Very good sense of humor. Knows practically everything about audio production, even has great skills with video. A must if you are in MIRT.

Being extremely knowledgable in this subject area, Debes is always willing to help you understand what's going on. I am "technically challenged" (i just don't enjoy working with equipment) and he made all the assignments hands on, so this really helped me learn the equipment, not just learning the parts of the camera or mixer, etc. He's a great guy

Awesome guy! Very funny, cares about students. Informed me about internships, very helpful even outside of class. He is a tedious grader but it's worthwhile, he makes you a true professional.
