Prof. Hromadka believes in independent learners. He is very practical, so he doesn't waste time reviewing easy concepts. Students will present hw problems in class in a very efficient process, or sectionss. So they must read the textbook,workout the problems and think. If you are a freshmen that wants to sleep in class, Wake Up! this is college.

Hromadka's lectures come straight from the book examples. None from his actual examples (except for exams). Makes you feel inferior when answering questions in class and in office hours. No homework due but gives out extra credit (which are homework problems). Avoid this teacher if you can.

I did not understand this teacher at all. He told me that I did not have the mathematical maturity for the course. I ended up dropping it, took a different professor and got the highest grade in the class. go figure.

Class took all my energy. Really hard teacher. Def. ask questions. Not an easy A. Don't do this class unless you are really interested in math because he respects you more if you try your best. All the slackers drop right away anyways.

I am HORRIBLE at math and I barely passed this class, but I was able to pass with the help of Prof. H. I was dreading the course but I had to take it. He's not one of those teachers who just blows u off - it's like he still cares about the students!

Really smart guy - helped me find a job by writing a ref. letter. I got a C in his class but I didn't try my best. I recommend him if u are there to learn. If you just want to get math over with don't take him cuz u'll prolly fail. :)

A true college professor. Knows his stuff (he has 3 PhD's). Better for upper division classes because he doesn't like to babysit freshman who don't like work. This guy has more contacts in the industry than anyone else - A valueable assest.
