I took a class on the fundamentals of broadcasting, but Dr. Foote spent most of his time trying to call the roll in his ridiculous assigned seating setup. When he did get around to teaching he usually started rambling about some old local history and didn't ever really cover anything important in the book (75% of the test is from the book). Avoid!

Be very aware of your body language while speaking, make eye contact, dont fiddle with your notecards, ... do well on the speechs and you will be fine, Tests are pretty hard, but study the best you can!!!

The tests were hard, be prepared for that. However do well on the speechs and you should be fine, just study for the test (as well as you can). I liked him and his personality, some others in my class didn't.

One word, baffeling!!! I still don't know what this class was about. All I know is that the man is obssessed with Tupelo. His test had no direction and he gets mad when you ask him questions. Very unorganized.

OH MY GOD!!! There's no way to avoid him but this man NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!! HORRID!!! I can't belive he's still working! I wish I would have taped his class to send to the dean, he would be fred in a min. He's completely unfair and senile.

Love some Dr. Foote. kinda crazy but in an interesting, I-really-know-a-lotta-things kinda way. Seems whacked-out, but is a great resource if you know how to tap it. The question is is he still teaching or is he really gone?

You probably can't avoid him if you're a communications major, but just be prepared for some craziness. He's very unclear and makes things more difficult that they have to be. His tests have nothing to do with what the class studies

Dr. Foote is a horrid teacher. His written exams are horribly hard. his test material is ridiculous cause none of the stuff that you'd think would be on your tests are on there. Yeah... whatever dr. foote. Your my least fave teacher at UNA

God bless him, he's a nice man...but he is definitely a little off. He gets off the subject a lot, asks you to explain/repeat yourself constantly, and will often unintentionally embarrass when you're done giving your speech. Like I said, he's a very nice man...but just be cautious. Oh, and READ the chapters for the tests!

Read the chapters for the tests. He gives final class grades for how he ranks you compared to the other students. He will allow you to question your test grades (right&wrong answers). He needs a hearing aid & becomes touchy when he doesn't hear you the 1st time. Make sure you meet the min&max times.
