Professor Papa, is a brilliant man, when I got to know him I began to understand his perceived cynical and cruelty, he had a tough like just like everyone else:m. This class is about one thing. Read the given material - THINK CRITICALLY ABOUT IT; and formulate a logical coherent paper. If the paper is logic is sound but the result invalid thats ok.

Just took this class as an 8-week accelerated course. Terrible format. 3 exams, 3 papers, discussions every week. Exams and papers due the same week as well as the discussion posts. No feedback. Questions aren't answered and he's condescending when they are. Very confusing. Maybe this format works great in-class. It's terrible online. Don't bother.

Just took his class and I finished with a C(-). He provides zero to very little feedback. Although he follows his syllabus generally, he has additional readings that he will assign the week of. Hard to study ahead for this class. Sorry to say, but the class because a guessing game with a teacher who expects you to be a mind reader. Unreal!!!

Papa is the type of professor that will make you work for your grade- you get what you earn. He relates his lectures to life experiences which makes it interesting. You either love him or hate him but he knows what he's talking about. You'll look back and think, "wow I actually learned a lot." That is such a great feeling- model professor.

Probably the worst professor I've ever had. Honestly he made the subject confusing and was not that nice of a person. The test are hard and there is three required essay on the readings.

I took this course as an 8 week online option. It was by far the worst experience I have ever had with an online course and I have taken plenty. The tests are impossible. The subject itself is difficult and he just makes it worse. He is extremely passionate about the subject so you need to be able to completely present yourself. No explanations.

My favorite professor at Sacred Heart! I've taken two classes with him, both of which involved a lot of lecturing and 3 big essay assignments. He's super harsh, but only if you say something stupid. If you contribute in class, be prepared to defend yourself!

If you are interested in philosophy and want to expand your knowledge of the subject, take him. He's extremely tough and challenges you, his directness sometimes appears offensive but if you take it lightly and clearly state your point of view, he will respect it. If you aren't interested in philosophy though, don't take him because he is diffiult.

Horrible professor. Failed most people on first ‘exam’ which consisted of a 1 paragraph intro to an essay. Very vague instructions. There were a couple of unreadable scribbles on my essay as ‘feedback’. Had no clue why I failed. The only good thing about him is that he hands back the first paper in time to drop the class without penalty.
