Comment:
Professor Quitevis is passionate about the subject but I would not recommend his class during summer unless you already have a pretty solid understanding of chemistry already! I took the summer 1 class and when I was not in class or working, I was constantly studying or doing homework! Although if youre willing to put in the work, you could do it!

Dont take this professor unless and until you want to ruin your grade. This class was easy for me only because I had taken AP Chemistry in my high school. and thats the reason I got an A. Otherwise I would have sucked at this class. Also he is very monotone and the class size is very big like 300 students. The tests are too tough

If you want to do well in this class, please read the book. I did a lot of learning outside of class because the lectures were monotone. Learned more in Zoe's SI lessons than I did during lecture. Homework & class attendance were easy gimme points, so don't skip out on those since this class is very challenging.

He does good lecturing but is quick with notes so it is easy to miss some things. The notes help but reading the textbook is a lot more useful. The tests are somewhat difficult but as long as you learn material and do your homework, you will be successfull

He is a smart professor, but the lectures he gives are not necessary to pass the class because he just goes through fill in the blank notes that are based off of the book, yet attendance is mandatory. He is quite hard to hear and understand because he mumbles into his mic, but I did okay in this class bc I had prior knowledge in the subject.

For his lectures, he writes as lightly as possible on a piece of paper that he then projects on about seventh tenths of the screen, while talking loudly enough that you could probably hear him if you were less than 10 feet away, which is unlikely in a 300 person lecture hall. I skipped class to take notes from the book.

Nice person, awful professor. I'm doing well in the class and I'll finish the semester off with a decent grade, but I have prior knowledge of Chemistry. If you DO NOT have any prior knowledge DO NOT take this professor.

Quitevis doesn't realize that no one can hear him during his lectures. He talks super quiet and rarely knows what he's talking about. Everyone I know in his class, including me, is struggling to scrape up a passing grade.

DO NOT TAKE HIM. I was up and down on all of the tests. You have to go to class (mandatory attendance) but that won't help you at all on the tests. He mumbles and is very quiet in a class full of 300+ students. Do the homework (it won't help on tests). Go to Leo's SI sessions or you will fail.

Lectures were useless. I relied completely on outside study sessions. He will help you if you ask for it but he is really confusing. Mandatory attendance is annoying since I didn't need the lecture to make a good grade. This class is easy as long as you try.

He is a nice guy, class is large so wont get much one on one help. If you are confused on anything attend the SI sessions, they helped a ton (I liked Leo's the best). Homework assigned once a week over each chapter. Stat on top of that and study for test and you will be fine. Attendance does count for 5% of grade and he takes it every class.

He is not a good teacher at all. Doesn't help that he also mumbles when he talks so it is hard to understand what he is saying half the time. Also, he provides fill in the blank notes, but they aren't very helpful for test & he doesn't upload them unto blackboard until LATE the night before class (usually around 11pm)

This professor is not helpful at all, if you ask him for help he replies with "I recommend finding a tutor". He won't discuss grades you have questions about or curve exams. Though the fill in the blank notes are easy, they do not help with studying.
