Prof. Rafferty is one of the best teachers I've ever had! He goes out of his way to accommodate his students and it's an easy A as long as you do all the readings. Seriously go to all the tutorials and email him your essays early for corrections. Genuinely sweet and very sarcastic. Rafferty tells it like it is. GREAT teacher.

Prof. Rafferty is one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. Not only is he interested in his field, he's a genuinely sweet and caring man. He puts in a lot of effort to make sure his students are accommodated, whether it be missing class or extra help, and does so with a smile. I'm so grateful to be his student. He's awesome!!

Rafferty is a great professor and person. He really wants his students to do well and will do his best to get them there. He is available outside of class and also holds tutorials before every exam. His team exams are easy - he gives you the questions beforehand. I loved my first semester in his class and look forward to another semester with him!

He is deep, thought-provoking, inspiring. Those who see no connection of material to exams want simply to regurgitate facts they've read. He asks us actually to THINK about and analyze material. As to returning exams or papers, he puts great thought and effort into his comments; they're REALLY helpful. Rafferty is one of BU's (not just CGS's) best.

Very passionate about the subject, and gives fantastic lectures. Has high standards, which is a refreshing change for CGS. Doesn't just want regurgitation on tests or papers. Very slow grading, however, and if you ask for a LOR, remind him every few days, because he forgot about mine and put me in a serious bind! One of the best at CGS

3 years and 2 universities later I still remember this man. HE IS A WONDERFUL ASSET TO YOU! He's knowledgeable, clear, approachable, and at least when I was at BU he was understanding of students. He is NEVER on a power trip like most other professors there. You will not regret his course!

Wonderful professor. He is a difficult grader but very helpful. His team lectures & class discussions help to explain the JSAs. Very kind - he took into consideration that I was sick for 1/2 the semester. Probably one of the best professors I've had at BU so far.

Great professor, knows exactly what he's talking about. Very hard grader, especially when it comes to essays. However, he does put out the entire team exam like a week before the exam and allows you to ask him any questions, so pretty much, if you're not lazy, you can get an A on the exam. Gives a lot of information and very helpful when you ask.

Raffi gives teriffic lectures and is an interesting guy to talk with during office hours, or outside the classroom. The only issue I have with him is that he takes FOREVER to turn back papers and team tests. Like 1.5 months on average. He has kids, so I guess he can get a pass on it. Good professor.
