I took this class just to fill a spot in my schedule but I would definitely take this professor again if he taught another class. He was clear with all notes and if you take notes and study them and the study guide you will do awesome without having to kill yourself to get an A. I would RECOMMEND taking this class whether its for ur major or not.

Great teacher. Doesn't take attendance. Teaches straight from book. Tests are difficult, but he curves generously (an 80 became an A-). Don't need book if you're gonna go to every class, but would recommend it. Take this class. He's a funny old man and always tries to crack stupid jokes.

Great class to take! Fantastic teacher, he actually takes the time to make sure you know what is going on. The tests are relativly hard, but all the information is from the notes and from the book, so studying isnt difficult. I loved this class and this professor!!

Awesome teacher. If you take notes and study from them and go to the review sessions you will do well. He's very helpful and he understands when people get sick. he gives extra credit and makes class as interesting as possible. i highly recommend his class.

Im telling you guys, this is the best psychology teacher at southern. The material is so hard, but he won't move on, until he makes it clear. If you go to class, and listen to him, you won't even need to study for his exams. He has a great personality, and is very caring. I highly recommend him.

He is easy, and you have to actually study for his tests, but he gives you everything to do so, including a review session. he offers extra credit. He cracks strange jokes once in a while, and he explains things in an odd way.DOESN'T take attendance, but you should probably go to class often. Teaches in strange fashion, but is fairly easy.

such an adorable man! he likes to make jokes.. although i didnt understand most of them.. he DOES get confusing sometimes because he trails off and doesnt finish sentences, but just try and pay attention and you should catch on. if not just ask him for some help cause he is more than willing to give you some !

I don't get why everyone says his tests are hard; they're not if you glance at your notes for an hour or less and you're not a moron. Dr Thompson is a nice guy, a good teacher,clarifys points until you understand them, offers review sessions before every test, grades on a curve, and gives an extra credit project. Getting an A in this class is easy.

Extensive notes? I think not. In fact I never took so little notes in a class. Thompson is a good guy, tries to be funny. The tests are kind of difficult but the curve really helps- don't sweat it. An extra credit assignment is given also, but with the extra points from the curve, you may not even need it.
