Comment:
This teacher was very tough. Avoid Neurobiology with him if you can (although I have heard he's good for anatomy)! The study guide we had to beg didn't even prepare us for his exams and his wording on them wasn't clear. Even when you think you know the material, you still end up being wrong even if he's mentioned material in class.

This class was very hard, on top of Griff not being a very good teacher for this subject.. Lots of quizzes, however he does give you unlimited attempts on them. The tests are impossible and include a lot of questions like "both a and b" or "both b and d" type questions, which is horrible. A 50% is a D. A 60%is a C. Do not recommend with Griff.

Comment:
I took this course last fall and overall professor is rude and doesn't appear competent enough to teach the material. Learning the material is all based on the textbook and involves group work and PRS which can be helpful or harmful depending on your learning style. I would not suggest him to others. If you can find old tests then take!

He might have been a cool A&P professor but for neuro? Not like I remembered him at all. Rude, unclear, confusing, ridiculous expectations, ridiculous exams, ridiculous quizzes. This class was anger, frustration, and despair. I would read his questions and have NO IDEA what he's asking. Info is too hard to be taught by his like.

I started the class excited. I would prepare two weeks in advance for tests reading and taking notes, however no matter how much I prepared I always did horribly on the tests and quizzes. When I went to his office hours to seek help he showed no interest in helping me, he only discouraged me further.

I don't understand why people say this professor is clear, I had the hardest time taking notes in class. He cared too much about the figures in the book and if we could explain them.

Dr Griff's lectures are amazingly clear. His exams come DIRECTLY from his PRS and online quiz questions. Perhaps one of the most organized and fair professors I've ever had.

Dr Griff is the best professor I've had at UC.. he is easily THE best Anatomy & Physiology teacher here at UC... waaaay better than Professor Fox. He has great analogies, in-class examples and explains the otherwise complicated material very thoroughly and uses great examples from the book (mostly from pictures and diagrams). Dr Griff is a GENIUS!

He is much better than Fox. Her exams are at least 2x longer and harder than his. He is also more interesting with his lectures. Didn't take him and second time and heartily regretted it. Recommend completely!!

Dr. Griff with his nerdy-humor, and dated jokes make the classroom atmosphere light-hearted and at ease. He makes it conducive to learning and is willing to post-pone further material until everyone is up to speed. Although his class will require you to study and work, it is not impossible. Dr. Griff is the best, and I recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Griff is an AMAZING professor!!! I really enjoyed his class. He cares a lot about the students and works hard to make sure everyone understands the material. He gives you many opportunities in class to ask questions, and is always excited to answer them. Griff is the best prof I have ever had!!!

This professor found his time more useful to lecturing the students on their focus in class instead of the material. I did not find his ability to convey the material in a comprehensible manner. I do not recommend him.

I absolutely recommend Dr. Griff. His class does require effort, but Dr. Griff does his best to make sure everyone is learning. He is very smart, and I learned quite a bit from his class. VERY good teacher. Dr. Griff is a boss.

Not captivating or engaging. Holds no accountability for his students. Unless you like being spoon fed the information, it's not worth the time. I do not recommend him if you are majoring in nursing or another health field. He says he's not there to trick you with his questions, but essentially every test question turns into a true or false.

Griff is a wonderful professor. Despite what others have said, he truly is one of the best professors at UC. He knows the material and also understands that the information is difficult. Work hard, study everyday and you'll do fine. Do not miss PRS!!

This class is difficult and Griff is highly aware of that. He explains things very well and as easily as possible so everyone will comprehend the material. He wants everyone to do very well and encourages questions a lot. Go to class! His PRS questions are worth very little but add up and can help your grade. His exams are very difficult, so study!

A&P is a hard class but he makes it as easy as possible. Test are all multiple choice and PRS questions are a good indication of what the test questions will be like. He doesn't put his lectures on blackboard so you have to take good notes. I skipped several classes but still got A's on all three exams.
