I'm sure he's a smart guy, but he just cannot teach the material well. A TA writes up all of his notes, which he promises will be posted before lecture, but rarely they are. Proofread and changed 3 questions on an exam WHILE we were taking it. He is horribly disorganized and doesn't seem to care about the class. Just laughs at us when we ask ?s

Comment:

Dr.Negishi is a nobel prize winner, but not for teaching. He is unbelievably intelligent, but unfortunately this just does not transfer to his lectures. He does do his best to be helpful, but the students best bet is to read the textbook and do the sample problems. Go to the lecture, if only to get to know this very sweet and interesting man.

Negishi confuses himself too easily. The whole class bursts out into laughter at least twice a lecture, he laughs too, but doesn't realize that we are laughing at him and how much we can't understand him.
