There were a lot of readings in this class, that made it hard to keep up with (often over 100 pages a night), but interesting material nonetheless. There's one midterm, a response paper, section grade, group project (25% of grade), and final.

She's so sweet! I love that she really takes everyones opinions into consideration. The class is quite interesting--it really opens your eyes to a lot of current thing affecting us in ways a lot people aren't aware of. There is one test, one film response, one group project/presentation, and a final.

I find it interesting that there is an option for "hotness" I wonder what Eileen would say to this?

She was a great professor in psych 140T, psych and trauma class. It was dense material; also it was often hard to discuss but she made it so safe to be in the class and talk about such difficult topics

I read reviews on here prior to taking the class, but they are DATED. This is a hard class, not an easy A, but Eileen is a great professor. This class is reading INTENSIVE though! You literally have to read and know everything to get an A on her tests. On the midterm, 50% of the material was from lecture, and the rest was from the readings.

Eileen is super sweet and approachable. If you have any personal issues or troubles with the class she is very understanding, esp if you find any topics triggering. Interesting readings, 1 MC/short ans/short essay midterm, 1 5-6pg research paper, 1 MC final. Points for tests are easy to get but also easy to miss. Take advantage of the study guides!

I enjoyed the powerpoint lectures and how straightforward this class was. You get what you put into it. Easy A if you attend all lectures, complete readings, and attend section. Definitely recommend this class

She is very knowledgeable and approachable. The only thing I did not like about the class is that she had the weighting set up so missing one question on the multiple choice final was worth almost an entire percentage point for the class.

Don't shy away from this because it seems depressing- extremely eye-opening content. Readings are interesting. Mandatory participation. A couple short essays and a final project/paper.

This class was good not great. pretty much just a group discussion everyday, facilitated by other class members and movies from the 80's-90's. Easy. 20 Page group paper (yikes!)

She is a wonderful professor and a great person. I really enjoyed the class. There were no tests because it was a seminar course, but there was a lot of writing. I had fun participating during lectures. Would definitely recommend her.

She was awesome and so conscientious of the studetns needs..she even made the first exam optional becuase some poeople had to read the questions from the overhead becuase she ran out of tests...way cool. And she takes a VERY sensitive attitude towards peoples feelings to traumatic experiences

Took her psychology of trauma course at U of M. I must admit I was very interested in the topic & felt most lectures were fascinating. However, the first quiz was silly and the final was way too picky. Plus, the GSI seemed stressed/sort of difficult to speak to the last few weeks of class. Wish Zurbriggen would've utilize more guest speakers too

This seminar on Sexual Aggression (rape) was eye-opening. A LOT of reading, but the topic is interesting. You must do the reading. She encourages everyone to participate, but she is sensative to shy people. Classes were discussion based, and everyone got to know each other. Assignments were good, too. She is a great professor. Take this class!

This teacher is great. The teacher has a good research backround and is highly knowledgeable. The information is fascinating. I wouldn't suggest the class to anyone who hasn't gotten over trauma in their past and can't deal with confronting it now.
