Professor Engelhardt is the greatest! She is so kind and caring and a great role model! I read that someone here said that they think she grades on her opinion which is false because when I disagreed with her and did all the work, I still got an A. A+ Human

She is nice, but it's honestly a boring class where you learn very little. I felt that she graded based off of her personal opinion not the facts at hand. I liked her personally but strongly disagreed with her teaching and grading. It's an easy A though.

She is fantastic! She always made class discussions so much fun. She encourages a lot of participation and values what her students have to share. I don't like to participate too much in other classes but I did a lot in her class. Stay on top of assignments and papers, and take good notes and you'll do just fine! She's just a really sweet person!

Elaine is in my top 5 favorite professors at UVU. Her class was so thought provoking and she encouraged healthy debate. Her assignments were time consuming, but very simple. I really liked how educated and experienced she was. She encouraged Senior level work. Hands down one of my favorite classes of all time!

Took this class on the block. All assignments were due either at mid-term or at the final which was a little stressful. Very writing heavy, but the amount is what you would expect from an upper division course. She's really kind and tries to stay very unbiased in class. Just be pro-active with your assignments and don't let them pile up.

Prof. Englehardt is a great teacher. She sometimes lets the class get away from her because she is so sweet and doesn't want to interrupt, but she is really fair and treats her students like gold. She will help, but she knows when you are taking advantage. Take her class though! She is very credible and very knowledgable. Loved this class.

Sweet lady but this class was the royal pain in my bum. Find a time that works for your group to meet EVERY WEEK. You have two big papers that were weird to write. The quizzes were easy because she would go over every question before we took it or let us take it with our groups. I never touched my book.

My question is why is she rated so highly? She does not follow the core themes of UVU. She does not care about the success of her students, especially if they have ASD issues. The class is unorganized and unclear in the standards or curriculum. The assignments are graded fairly but the exam rubric is unclear. Be careful if you take this class.

This class was so boring! The textbook was expensive and you have to bring it to class every time. She grades papers purely on grammar and would dock points without telling you what you did wrong. You are required to meet with a study group outside of class ten times for an hour each which is hard to manage. The discussions were dry and one sided.

NICEST EASIEST CLASS YOU'LL EVER TAKE!!!! No studying required. All her tests are open book, open note, and as long as you turn something in, you'll get an A on it. Everyone passes the class as long as they do the work which is SUPER easy also. You can't go wrong taking her class. Plus she's SUPER SWEET and she brings candy and pizza to the class.

Took the Media Ethics class and really enjoyed it. Yes, sometimes the class discussions were a little dry, but I loved Elaine! She's a funny lady with good intentions. Her assignments are time consuming, but come on people-it's college. The text book was super cheap (like $18) and class discussions were enjoyable. I would take her again any day!

This is an outstanding Business and Professional Ethics class. In addition to an interesting textbook, we also discussed a couple of business ethics type articles from the New York Times in each class period.I participated more than I thought I would; and I like Elaine

Great Professor!!! She is willing to help you in any way she can, has many important contacts. I learned a lot from this class. The class required lots of writting, a research paper plus a class presentation. You have to work for your grade. Elaine is very nice and incredibly smart, take a class from her if you can.

Very friendly and nice as a teacher. She did have to redo the schedule 3 times (a bit disorganized). Pay attention in class, take notes, and you will be fine. Was an easy A. just keep in mind that you will need to do several projects (including a service learning project, New York Time's journals, out of class Ethic seminars)as a group and alone.

This class will keep you busy, there are a lot of written assignments, group meetings, and a service learning project outside of class. As long as you do then she gives you full points. Class is an easy A if you attend every class, take notes, and do the work. Quizzes and tests are easy if you pay attention to her lecture.

Elaine was incredibly distracted this semester with her position as assistant to the pres.. Don't expect timely grades or set-in-stone dates. The amount of work seems daunting but is really easy. She is willing to work with you and is terribly kind. Just build a repertoire with her and you'll do fine! Got an A+.

This class req. a LOT of work!(study groups, NYtimes reading, events, papers, responses) It is manageable but overwhelming at first. She is willing to work out deadlines so you can get everything done. Didn't think I'd make it in this class, but I was able to get everything done and should pass.
