Nice prof and easy to work with but there's tests every Friday and she lectures all class period everyday. Doesn't put her power points on canvas so you better write fast. Powerpoints are jam packed with notes so you need to either take pictures of the slides or write fast. Also, i never touched the textbook so if you take this class, don't get it

Professor Glenn, is by far one of my favorite professors I have taken here at Central Washington University. I have not learned as efficiently in many of my upper division courses, but this one was different. Professor Glenn has so much knowledge of the Middle East.

Homework due once every 2 weeks on Wednesdays, map test the first week of a unit, lecture test the next. Overall super chill, really nice, and she kind of treats you like she's your mom. Or at least that was my experience. I wasn't that great at Geography, but still did well. I think she would teach a cultures class better than geo but still good

Good professor but she covers a lot of material in a little amount of time. Her study guides are pretty much useless because it doesnt cover a lot of the test. But I learned a lot in the class. But unfortunately it didnt show in my grade because her tests are pretty difficult. As a person, shes super cool but its just her tests that killed me.

Great professor. Over explains simple things to where its annoying and wastes time. Study guides dont match tests as well as they could. Study guides are also messy looking: uses comic sans, too many underlines and bolds, uses multiple difference font sizes. But still not bad overall.

This class is a broad world overview. Prof. Glenn splits up the tests into map quiz & then lecture quiz on alternating Fridays, a non cumulative system. I'd take a class from Prof. Glenn again.

Amazing teacher! She gives really interesting lectures and does a great job connecting what you are learning to today's world. Easily one of my favorite profs. Must go to class to pass.

She is simply an amazing teacher and one of the main reasons I decided to major in geography. As long as you go to class and look at the maps ahead of time there is no reason anyone would fail. Her lectures are engaging and have a way of sticking with you. I highly suggest taking a class with her.

She needs to learn how to teach in any way. She can not communicate simple topics to a class or one on one. The items she's testing on are very unclear and opinion based. We're not told when we have homework, tests, or quizzes will happen. All of her lectures this quarter have had no relevance to geography in any way, her class is just her opinion.

Lectures for half an hour atleast every day about her own life and completely irrelevant stories. She throws facts all over the place to the point that you have no idea what topic youre supposed to be learning. She gets very easily frustrated when you ask a question she doesn't like. Honestly about half of all class time is completely a waste.

You have many opportunities to raise your grade in this class. She makes expectations and assignments clear. She is passionate and makes the subject interesting. Only downside is that she likes to print out a bunch of papers and hand them out, as if we don't know how to read all of them off canvas. Waste of paper and fills up your binder.

Very good at her job. She genuinely cares how the students are doing and her lectures have a unique way of sticking with you when test time rolls around. I am a history major and her class inspired me to minor in geography, that's how good of a teacher she is.

She tells A LOT of her life stories and barely talks a lot about Geography. If you actually want to be engaged and be able to have a solid student teacher relationship, DO NOT take Geography with her.

There is a test in class almost every week which is a little stressful. Her lectures are amazing because she has been to many of the countries herself. Come to class everyday as her tests are extremely detailed. However, the tests are multiple choice. She writes tough true or false questions.

Cheap textbook you actually use. 4 smaller papers instead of one term paper. Knowledgeable about subject. Be prepared to write quickly, slides are packed with info. Checks facts constantly so they are up to date. Fair amount of reading.

If you want a class about story time this is the one for you!!! She is very nice and helpful but in class she loves to put things on the powerpoints that you don't need and loves to talk about where she has been in the world.

She's really nice but be prepared to listen to her talk for 50 minutes with almost no interaction at all. We're supposed to buy a textbook but we don't have reading assignments so I would say don't bother buying it. She goes through her Powerpoints super fast and it's annoying trying to write everything down. She doesn't put them up on Canvas.

She is very clear in what she wants done with everything. There are only 4 homework assignments. She doesn't grade the homework, her TA does. You have to make sure to do what she wants. She makes a study guide that you can bring to class with you that makes studying easier and taking notes easier. Attendance isn't required but you should go.
