She has a strong personality and a dope vibe, she keeps it real with you ALL the time so stay on your toes. 2 individual speeches & 1 group speech, lots of reading & response papers. My favorite class my first quarter at DeAnza :)

Comment:

I'll be honest here. She is nice, BUT a tough grader. She gives way too much to do including reading, quizzes, pappers and presentations. Weekly quizzes from lots of reading are online but hard to do. 20 questions within 20 minutes, 3 chances in which the questions always change. She doesn't teach much and pretends that you learn by yourself.

Good professor, but really difficult. Tons of homework and not much time to complete. Paper after paper and hardly any time between meetings to finish. Really difficult class if you have any other homework to complete as well.

Lee is the most sassiest person there is. She is super sarcastic but knows what she's talking about. Her class involves two individual speech presentations and one group speech presentation. You do have to practice your speech if you want a good grade. There is usually a paper due after every class meeting but there are simple and easy. Take her.

She is hilarious. I definitely recommend her. You have to put in the work to pass. There was times that I would accidentally forget about an assignment and get a zero. No late work. It is not an easy a, but I would say its worth the time. I had fun. She drops you if you miss too many classes. There are two personal speeches, and one group speech.

She is so helpful and response quickly to emails/ calls/ voicemails. There was a lot of homework expected in this class. This includes writing outlines and full page papers. 2 individual speeches and 1 group speech. Overall, class was not hard at all. Just expect to do your work. Had a great time talking and meeting people in the class. She's cool

Elaine is super hilarious and friendly. She really centers the class around YOU, which can be seen from her rather tedious assignments. She's really helpful and always available. I feel like a better speaker after this class. She's awesome!

She is really inspiring! I hate speaking in front of the class, hate speeches but she made it really easy to go up there and do what you wanna do. Her class is all about YOU! what does that mean? you should take it! I learned so much about myself and I still am but I improved deeply. She does though give quizzes so READ THE BOOKS. Group project!

Elaine is a fantastic professor. She has good sense of humor. She cares about students. She gives out clear criteria for her homework and assignment. If you have questions, call her, email her or go to her office. She is always there to help. She is the one to make you feel talking in front of people is not that scary. I HATE public speaking. I was terrified about taking any speech class, but Ms. Lee made it fun! She is the most amazing teacher and a wonderful human being. You will love her class, especially if you hate public speaking. If you enjoy public speaking, she will give you feedback that will improve your speeches. She is awesome! Take her class!!!

Ms. Elaine is a phenomenal human being. Her speech class is the best class I've ever taken. I like most of you, HATE public speaking but she makes it fun! There are a total of 5 speeches. 2 easy group speeches, 1 group presentation, and 2 ind. speeches . She gives you all the criteria you need to get an A. Do yourself a favor and TAKE HER CLASS :)

Prof. Lee is one of those teachers who makes coming to school fun. Her class isn't the easiest, but she's fair and will grade accordingly if you put in the effort. I was terrified to take a speech class, but by the end was glad I did. She structures the class so that it eases you into meeting everyone, and she is highly entertaining!

Elaine is a special person. Never met a teacher quite like her. She made me like speech class, which is something I'd never thought I'd ever say in my life. I've always suffered from severe social anxiety and fear of speaking, but her class really opened my eyes and my mind. Her class literally changed my life. Each class was a therapy session.

Easy class. Assignments were simple. Elaine really walks us step by step on what she wants us to do for the homework. It sounds cool but can get really repetitive and boring after a while. The room she has is kinda small though. guess its out of her control. But its a very warm and friendly environment.
