Your best choice for calc 3. He does a bit fast in lectures but if you ask him questions he will explain the concept in great detail. His exams are fair there are four but he drops your lowest grade. He prepares you for the final and even goes over some of the finals from previous semester at the end. Overall he is a very kind person.

He talks very fast but knows what he is doing. He also answers questions very well and doesn't take shortcuts when doing the work for a question. Make sure to do the homework problems to review for his exams which are not very hard. Overall he is a really nice guy too

Very nice professor. He lectures extremely fast so I ended up closing my notepad and just pay attention to him, and it worked! (Read the textbook also) Tests were not hard, very balanced as he has tons of experience and he knows what's important and what's not. He teaches with intuition and geeky humor :) Nice person.

His lectures are very fast. I wouldn't mind except that his notes are very disorganized which makes it hard to follow him unless you stop taking notes and just listen to him. His tests are very balanced. He is not a hard grader but he tends to take off points when this are not done his ways even though they are right. He doesn't curve.

Good professor. He goes SUPER quick however and teaches like he's on too much caffeine. My test Avg was an 82 and I got a C only because the Dept final got to me. Fair tests and does NOT curve. He does prepare you mostly well however. DO HW PROBLEMS AND DEPT FINAL PROBLEMS RELATED TO EACH UNIT! Go to office hours, and learn outside of class too!

You will not have your hand held whatsoever in his class. His exams are very balanced, leaning towards harder than easier. He also lectures at the speed of light so keep up. Very easy laboratory work though, if you're in his calc3 class. He is more than willing to help you after class or during office hours though. He has never heard of a curve.

Difficult material to start thinking in 3D, but he explains it very well and shows the proofs in detail. His tests are fair and he is generous with partial credit for algebra mistakes if your calculus is right. HW is not checked but it is reviewed in class and I recommend doing the assigned and then some to prepare for the tests. No curve.

Great professor. Go see him for extra help if you need to. His exams are fair. He grades them fairly and generously at times. If you focus on class examples and homework problems, then you should be fine.

He goes fast and lectures are long. But, if you pay attention you should at least get an A-. He's also a very nice guy and a generous grader.

Great professor. Takes the time to stress certain key points that are fundamental in a specific topic. Also outlines common mistakes for students to avoid. Easy grader and will give plenty of partial credit (if deserved). Some complain he goes too fast but I think his pace is just fine.

One of the best professor's you can get. He talks pretty quickly, so you really need to pay attention to his lectures. Assignments aren't checked so you can basically do them whenever you want, and he goes over them a class or two before the exam. He has some occasional dry humor too. All in all a great prof and would take him again.

A really nice guy but he likes to put questions from the final. Warns you what is on the exam, not the best ex plainer but no the worst math professor there. Overall, matlab test was super easy though, two questions from the previous things he taught.

He's a good professor, no doubt about that. My only problem is that he goes too fast, that's it. He's nice, understanding, helpful, and knows his stuff. His exams are a very similar to the homework problems. Do the homework and you won't have a problem. 4 exams, drops one, no quizzes and gives two questions for the matlab final.

In general, if you finished all the homework questions and understand them all, you will get a A+ for the exams. There will be 4 mid-term exams plus the final. He will drop the lowest grade for one of the mid-term exams. The average mid-term grades are around 85. He speaks very fast in class and LOTS of notes. He is very good professor for cal3.

Nice guy, gives lots of partial credits on test. Study and you'll get good grade, be careful of the final though he doesn't write it and its a lot harder than his normal exams throughout the year.

Professor Shell knows exactly what he is teaching. Math203 itself is a difficult class and by the time you reach this class, you'll know how to prepare for math classes. Just show up and be ready, he tends to go very fast and try to sit on the left side of class. Hard to see on the right. He is a great professor and he's always there to help
