Probably the nicest professor I've ever talked to or took a class from She is considerate and wants her students to understand her material. Class was easy and attendance was optional, but if you went to class you didn't really to read the assigned readings because she'd go over them. Recomend

I took this class to fulfill some liberal arts requirements and it was a mistake. The lectures were dull, but attendance was required. The assignments were time-consuming if you wanted a good grade. Extra credit opportunities were often available. It seemed like she preferred to have SOAN majors in the class, even though it's open for all majors.

SWEETEST LADY EVER! I'm a sociology major and Im taking her again and again.. she is great! For those of you that need to take 190 for a mode filler, take McDuff! Its an easy A, and although like the others said she does talk a lot.. so stay awake. You also have EASY in class writings that add worth like 5 points and they add up, so dont skip class

I will agree that she can put you to sleep if you aren't ready to listen, but this is one of the most intelligent and caring professors on campus. She is extremely knowledgable and is a godsend for SOAN majors. Once you get out of the 1 and 200 classes, classes change dramatically and she addresses each student personally for understanding.

McDuff sort of reminds me of my grandma- she's really sweet and smiles a lot, but no one ever pays attention to a word she's saying. She's an easy grader, a nice gal, and she will put you to sleep! So, bring lots and lots of caffeine.

McDuff is the nicest lady you could ever have for a teacher. She'll put you to sleep sometimes, but she'll also inspire you to either great conversation or to think more deeply on certain topics. The tests are right from the website, the notes aren't really used, and there's never really homework. She is still one of my favorite teachers.

Don't take McDuff in the morning because she will put you to sleep every class. She talks the entire hour for the most part every class. She is very nice and an easy grader though. As long as you do her busy work, this class is a cake walk.

I love this woman, she is the one saving grace for SOAN majors. She is an easy grader, and is very very knowledgable. She loves what she is doing, and it's a refreshing break from the normal monotomy of every day life. I loved going to this class and I can't wait to take more classes with her in the future.

Really, really nice woman. She was really excited about what she was teaching. Not a very challenging class--I got through it without reading the material, and it was easy to get in the trap of not doing homework. Really boring, but an easy A if you're willing to do the busy-work.
