She comes off as a nice professor at first, but she's not the best. We have 5 papers in total that we have to do, and I like how she allows us to keep revising, but it gets tiring because it's as if no paper can live up to HER standards.

Prof. Mayberry is great. nothing pleases her unless it is a great work and revised like 100 times. If you are interested in improving your writing skills and willing to work hard then her class is the right choice. if not, don't take her class because you won't pass. She will be more than happy to help inside and outside the classroom.

Prof. Mayberry was approx. 15 min. late to classes throughout the semester. She allows revisions of essays and offers "feedback". However, once the feedback is applied to the essay and is given in for her revision again she questions why the sections have been added - even though she's the one who wanted it there. Hard to please and disorganized.

My writing skills had been approved because of Dr. Mayberry, she is a fair grader. Students whoever think shes tough because they didnt even try. Writing is a process, shell more than happy to help if student ask.

Nice person, but horrible professor. Hands back assignments super late, piles essays on top of essays, and always finds some flaw within your essay to make it not pass.

As long as you participate, ask questions, and visit the writing lab, you should be good to go. Mayberry is one of the only professors I had that actually stuck to the syllabus 100%. Downside, don't expect your essays to be given back quickly. However, she will let you take your essay back to revise multiple times, which who doesn't want that?

She's a tough but fair grader. She expects a lot from her students but she's also willing to help if you ask. She's definitely more of a hands off, let the students talk about what they read kind of teacher which I really enjoy. She's super knowledgeable about literature and her women's lit class is probably the best English class at LCCC.

Tons of writing and homework assignments, but all help to make sure you understand the material. Revisions truly help in terms of getting better grades, and exams are thorough but she grades fairly. Super understanding and laid back, and a great person to talk to.

She has to be the worst professor I have taken. She hands back essays a couple days before revision is due. She is late everyday to class. She does not explain well the assignments. she embarrasses you in front of everyone eve when she is wrong. Nothing is good for her. As much as you try you can never get it right. Would not recommend her at all.

She is a hard professor she failed my research paper even when she helped me with it she is sort of rude and i almost died in that class because of her being rude and making me feel like a dummy. Good luck and she loses a lot of papers!!!!!!!!

I would never take her again. We got our papers back late in semester and had to cram. On top of that she's an intense grader. Even when I did all the revisions she wanted it was never good enough to get an A. You can't please her and she very unorganized. Some students didn't even get their research paper back until the last week of class.

Professor Mayberry is an amazing teacher. She is clear and concise and precisely explains what she expects out of you for the quiz that you take in every class as well as for the research paper. The tests are well balances with 13 short answer questions and 2 essays. Overall, she is a must take for any class that she is teaching.

Did essays all year, didn't give me any back until the very last day while people were handing all theirs in still from the first (8 essays). Waited to tell me after exam I failed every single one of them. Horrible teacher. Get out while you can.

She is a decent teacher, usually a few minutes late but always wrapped up on time. She is a very kind and motherly woman as a teacher, but is not always clear on assignments. 4 major essays, 1 research paper, and a couple journal entries. Not too bad of a class, just listen and take note of corrections on essays. She allows you to redo them too.

she was a horrible Teacher. the only thing i liked was seeing the Yellow Paper on the Door to see if class was Cancled. i heard from a the work load is alot and 1/2 of the time we dont go over it and she never shows up on time and then keeps us late because of her lateness
