Good lectures in class most of the time, but her papers are very hard to write. Instead of writing a well organized paper just put as much factual information as possible, that seemed to get me the better grade on my final. She's always nice and never in a bad mood which helps with the class. Takes attendance at beginning of semester only.

she is a very specific about what she wants in papers and exams. very concise during lecture, goes over time ocassionally. somewhat challenging class. helpful by providing exam questions.

Well-organized lecturer, incredibly knowledgeable about her subject. Anybody who can't get a good grade on one of her tests shouldn't be in college--she gives you the questions beforehand: all you have to do is prepare a response.

Not the esiest teacher and is harder than others to relate to, but still a good teacher and very helpful if you ask for help. I had a really bad semester and thought I was going to fail because of absenses, but she worked with me and I still got a B!

I thought she was an extremely thorough and rigorous professor. I enjoyed her class and learned a lot. Some of the negative comments make me wonder about the calibre of students who dislked Dr. Spencer. OF COURSE grammar and spelling are important!

Take this class if you want to hear the political history of Germany and politics only. Her tests are long and are nearly impossible to get just a B. She is a nit picker and you'll lose a lot of points on grammar and spelling than anything.
