Comment:

She is the ideal college professor. Very intelligent, and passionate about her work and student involvement. With that said, be prepared for LOTS of reading, LOTS of assignments, group interaction (YES even for the ONLINE class), and LOTS of in depth mathematical lingo. Tough class, but... easy A, as long as you read read read!

This class will make you work for a good grade. Had a lot of work but she gave you all the resources and tools to get an A, you just have to do your part and work for it. She will answer any questions you have and responds fast. To those complaining the amount of work she gave, realize that you're in you guys are in college. Easy A if you do work.

This class requires a lot of work but it was a positive experience for me. The professor is very helpful and understanding. She responds quickly to e-mails if you need clarification or help. The most important thing is to stay on top of the weekly assignments - start early they take a lot of time to complete! Great class & professor!

Took online course, was a bit annoying with weekly group assignments but totally worth it. It's all essay writing. Shes completely approachable and helpful. i got an A and put last minute effort into my work.

This is a horrible class! It is a math class and all you do is write essays all day and night. No matter how hard you try on the essay there is always something wrong and she will send you a copy of your essay with red comments all over it telling you that you did this wrong and that wrong.

Worst class ever. Agree with comments on 3/25/09. Never lectures on the class notes. Groups are useless since we are all confused. Assignments are Word docs, typed in great tedium, often corrupted. No phone and no office hours, except by appointment. E-mails are useless since she doesn't understand my questions.Waste of time and money.

She is caring & works VERY hard to help students. That said, I don't recommend her for higher level classes. She is insecure about her teaching, makes many errors, class time is pointless, writes her own long winded materials, buys into BS educational theories, thinks math is a humanistic subject, and all the while avoids just teaching clear math.

I took the online class over the summer. This class is INTENSE! You'll be connected to your computer day & night. It's hard BUT the instructor is VERY helpful and I was also lucy to get a great group for group work. Ask questions/do the work and you'll be ok. Be prepared and committed!

Let's start with this: Her class is hard. It requires a lot of time and effort. The assignments are tough and require a lot of thought. However, she is a great teacher. She is quick to respond to emails and always provides useful information about assignments. I would definitely take her again (If I were a Math major). Remember: Her class is hard.

This class at first seemed hard we had to read 6 chapters for the first few quizes, then after the quizes ended we just had our research paper and final.....it was one of the best classes and of course one of the best professors

At first, she seemed harsh and unwilling to cooperate. however, as the semester went on, she turned out to be the best professor I've had, EVER. She's a wonderful teacher and she's a good person. Ask for help, and she'll be there for you. Online office hours are very helpful. Lots of work, but it helps you learn!

Though it was online, we had things due twice a week. The work load is crazy, but doable...sorta. The groups suck, well mine did. She doesn't know what she wants but if you call her on a grade you feel unjust she'll review it with good reason. TAKE WITH EXTREME CAUTION. HIGH DROPOUT RATE. Half the class dropped after 2 weeks!

Dr. M was amazing! Her class was pretty easy. I really enjoyer her as a teacher. You can tell she really enjoys what she does. I liked how she put us in groups the deal with our major. She is such a sweetheart! Take this class, and this prof. she is amazing!!

Dr. M is a very funny lady that will do her best to convince you that math is the one subject everyone should study! The class does require some work, but as long as you turn in everything you will do great and she takes improvement into account! She's great! Not you everyday math class, you should not take this class if you love numbers!

Prof. had NO lesson plan. Class meetings are unneccessary and pointless. Unclear with what she wants from students. Is incapable of epressing herself and never answers a question directly. Obsessively e-mails; at least one or two e-mails per day. If you must take her, do so online.
