An all around not great teacher. The professor is rude to students, never explains things in a different way to help in understanding, expects you to understand everything the first time around, rushed through material, doesnt properly prepare you for tests, forgets homework and then expects you to still do it. Ive had a couple other professors

Dr. Dona is a great professor. You learn so much German in her class because she forces participation, which may be annoying to some. Her syllabus can be confusing, but if you bring it up to her, she will fix it. She is always willing to help!

Her syllabus is out of date, and expects for you to know what, where, and when it is due. The assignments are all over the internet over 2 sites. Does not use here wright state email but the infamy pilot mail. Her first test had German words that we didn't learn in class but where on quizzes we did not get back yet with English in ().

Really dedicated to her work. She brought in apple strudel for us and other treats! She is always available to her students and is looking to help all the students in their knowledge of German. Wonderful accent and fun to learn from. Defiantly a great teacher.

Dr. Dona is one of those professors that challenges you but at the same time motivates you to do your best. I went in this class receiving C's in every German class I took before. I walked out of her's with an A. She knows when your giving it your best and when your just trying to get by. Great teacher.

It seems alot of the dislike for Mrs. Dona is from the higher level classes. I can't vouch for that, but I had her for 101, 102 and soon to be 103, and she is by far the best German teacher I have had since middle school. It is true that she is often unorganized and tough, but from my experiences, she is willing to help when you are struggling.

I think she's really good, though she does start to talk over people while they're answering their questions. She also promised Apfelstrudel and Marzipan and never delivered. :/ The whole Quia bullcrap is frustrating as hell though.

Elfe is the worst teacher I had at WSU. I loved my experience at the university but this is truly the worst of the bunch. Her teaching style is terrible, lazy, and unorganized. She does not follow a syllabus and it seems like she comes up with assignments 30 min before class.

If you're reading this then you're probably interested in what sort of teacher she is. Learn from my mistake and study the language independently, then test out. You'll save money this way, and avoid this terrible teacher. She doesn't follow the syllabus, which is itself also flawed. Testing out of a class is only $25, taking the class much more.
