Great teacher! Really interesting, and actually cares about his students success. If you approach him he will help you. No tests only weekly homework. Definitely knows his math, and is extremely knowledgeable.

From my experience, this man is very unclear and confusing. He's senile and does not grade fairly. I participated in class and did well on all the hw and still got a low grade. Would not recommend.

If you want to take History of Mathematics then I suggest you first peruse Maor's book "To Infinity and Beyond." If you do not enjoy the book then you will most likely not enjoy the class. Attendance is a must, but there are neither tests nor a final. Homework may be challenging if you do not know how to write a mathematical proof

Has a strong Polish accent, very hard to understand and sweats a lot. A very boring class but it's easy and he takes attendance so it's easy points. Test are always only over one thing so it makes studying seem pointless.

HE'S HORRIBLE!!!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! hard to understand(bad accent), confuses himself when trying to answer questions, assigns homework that is impossible(he can't do it), doesn't hand test grades back in time for drop dates.

Dr. Maor is a cute little old guy. He tries to help his students but his teaching is a little weak. The class is boring, but as long as you do the homework (he doesn't collect it) you'll do okay. His quizes & tests are based off the homework. I blew off the class and did bad. Do the homework!!!

I hate him...He never listens to your questions and makes you wait till he stops teaching who knows what to answer. He gives really easy examples and on the test the questions are really hard.Just take the class next semester instead of him..please!!!!!!!

I totally disagree with the negative comments about him. I think he has a great accent that's totally easy to understand!! He knows his stuff, makes huge attempts to answer any questions people have, and he does base his exams right out of the homework!
