This has been the most unreasonable professor I've had throughout my college career. She's yelled at students in lecture for looking at notes during class (yes that really happened), kicked students out for not doing reading, and she does not accept doctors notes. Unless you are the perfect student, definitely avoid.

I learned a lot from Professor Carniscioli's class, she is a very good teacher. Sometimes she can have a short fuse and low tolerance for tomfoolery in class can make the students feel like they are in high school again, but if you are really in class to learn something, it is a great experience. Expect to read a lot and really understand material.

She's a wonderful speaker so I loved her lectures. She is extremely fair about how tests and assignments are meant to be completed so reading any material is mandatory. However my only issues were how some requirements she may have requested were not present in the syllabus. Only ask questions if you have evidence and are 100% up to date with class

Professor Camiscioli is awesome! Her lectures are great and cares about every student. Her attendance policy is very strict so if you like to skip class or hate to participate, then don't take any of her classes.

Cool prof. Do not be on your phone or disruptive in class bc she will call you out. Also don't show up late, if your late just stay home bc she will also embarrass you in front of the class. Other than that she is cool, funny and smart. Knows her sh**

Camiscioli has very informative lectures, however at times they can be quite boring. She seems to be a really caring and nice Prof and she would go out of her way to help a student. I would recommend taking her class. Especially if you are interested in the class topic.

Professor Camiscioli truly does care about her students grasping the material. Taking her seminar was a lot of work but very rewarding, as she encouraged us to dive deep into our sources for our research papers which I had never really done. The class dynamic was fun and made the material we covered that much more interesting. She is awesome!

It's disheartening to sit through lectures with her. She is more concerned with how students see her (she seems to want to be strict, yet funny & cute) than she is about the course material. She FREQUENTLY stops lectures to talk about herself or have a "funny" convo with a student. Assigned readings are great though, and she gets great TAs.

Camiscioli is not a very good professor. She makes accusations that certain things are "unintellectual" while she takes lectures and discussion questions directly from other university websites...picks favorites in class...cannot stay on track if interrupted in the slightest...and her lectures are repetitive with all too obvious key arguments.

I took Race & Racism with her a few semesters ago. Didn't like her. Pretentious -to say the least. She once said disliking movie subtitles is anti-intellectual? The points she makes in class are painfully obvious: race is a social construct. I would never recommend a class with her.

Professor Camiscioli is an upbeat and upfront person. Her class is always interesting and enjoyable. I would not recommend her class to people that do not like to participate, late-comers or no shows. If you show interest and respect for her and the class, then you're off to a good start. Ultimately you'll get what you give.

Never have I seen a Professor care for her students as much as Prof. Camiscioli. Her lectures are brilliant, yet not complicated. Her grading policy is very fair. She even took our whole class out for pizza! She is by far the best teacher I've had at Binghamton. Also, she drinks yerbamate which is a plus.

She's an okay professor. She's not bad, there are just few things that needs to be worked on. First, her lectures needs work; it's annoying to listen to a professor read from an essay. Secondly, her paper topic need to be less ambiguous. Lastly, she need to be much more clear about grading criteria. However, overall she is a very nice person.

Although she has a PHD, tries too hard to show herself off. Does a better job of playing dictator than teach her material well. Disorganized lectures. Unneccessarily tough attendance policy. Leaves everything to the TA as if she's too good to look at your work. You cannot negotiate with her. It's like the world revolves around her.

I have taken 3 classes with this teaching so far and you would have to be dumb to not understand her lectures. If you got into college then you will be able to understand her lectures. She is an amazingly talented teacher who cares about her students and you do feel lost in the crowd like in other classes. Take it from me, a senior, its worth it

This professor seemed fun at first, but then things went terribly wrong. She plays favorites among students. She reads from a prepared essay word for word and calls it a lecture. Her discussion questions she "writes" are actually stolen from other schools, which makes me question on her integrity. Please for your sake, take someone else.

She seemed ok until it became clear that she Cares too mcuh about seeming cool. She is inappropriate with her graduate student friends and makes you feel nervous that she might end up criticizing you out of class. If she doesn't like you, you should drop her class.
