Professor Willis can take even a dry topic and make it very engaging and interesting. She's always willing to help, assigns very interesting readings and class discussions are always very interesting, she's a great facilitator. I'd recommend her classes to everyone and think she's one of the best professors in the Political Science department!

Simply amazing. You will need to work hard to do well, but if you put in the work you will learn a tremendous amount. One of the kindest and hardest working professors at Grinnell.

The best professor I've had in the political science department. Yes, she is a tough grader and demands a lot from her students, but it's most likely that she will change you way of thinking about politics. Evaluates students for their progress. Participation matters a lot and she loves to talk to students at her office.

Prof. Willis is one of my favorite professors. She tries to help students as much as she can as long as you put in the effort-you can rewrite every paper and she even stays after class to answer questions. Once, she stayed after 20 minutes to answer one of my questions. She really cares about her students and wants them to do well.

Extremely approachable, a really wonderful adviser. Her classes were almost all discussion-based, and they were enjoyable because she's genuinely interested in what you have to say and never condescending. I would definitely take one of her classes again.

Nice woman, wants you to participate and do well, is totally willing to help you with whatever you need. If you go in to meet with her, she really wants to hear your thoughts about your work and background. Lots of reading, would not recommend for first-years as the material will be lost on you and you'll regret it later

She needs to learn how to lead a discussion. She knows so much, but tries to cover WAY too much in this class and much is lost. Trying to cover culture, history, and government all at once for every country in Latin America is too much. Something's gotta give.

She is very passionate about what she does, which for me made what could have been a very boring class bearable. I probably wouldn't recommend the CLASS, but I can definitely recommend the professor.
