Dr. Ervin was a very smart professor who expected a lot out of her students. Even if you didn't quite understand every word she said in class (which was most of the time) she was very patient one on one if you spent some time in her office. Overall, very challenging but worth signing up for.

Not exactly sure what her problem was, but she made it very clear that my opinion wasn't the correct one. Refused to believe that the papers that I turned in were ever turned in, despite her marks on them. Rewarded a hell of a lot of work with a C-.

Dr. Ervin is intelligent and knowledgeable on subjects in her field. However, she has been unhelpful when asked questions and her graduate assignments were very unclear. The course could have been organized better, and she should have given background information.
