She's a very nice lecture professor. Very clear on all topics, take good notes and you will get an A in core 2. Covers a lot in class, STRONGLY recommend going. Not a fan of European history but she made it as interesting as it could get. Take her! You will enjoy the class.

Such a great lecturer. She realy knows what she is talking about, and if you have a question she will be happy to answer. Attendance isn't mandatory, but every once in a while, she'll give extra credit to those who do attend. I really enjoyed her class and learned alot.

Great Teacher! Very knowledgeable in history. Found class not to be too difficult. Important to attend class to get all the notes for quizzes given on Friday break out classes. There are 3 exams. Is an essay format. The final is the 3rd exam and is not cumulative. Enjoyed the test. would definitely recommend her take core 2 not 1!

Modern Britain. In the beginning of the class she said she didnt care about dates, then on the midterm no one used dates when answering questions and recieved d's and f's. Lots of reading, but thats the easy part. Not to hard, just read and make sure to use dates on the essay questions!

this was just lecture, with a breakout class with heidi manzone. furdell is a good teacher, very thought out lectures, not the most interesting if youre not into history. she knows her stuff, but goes over more info than is on the exams. alot of reading, but i used sparknotes and did just fine.

Best teacher I have ever had.... She made me learn the old fashion way... She was a bit hard... I had to read and have no regrets... I bet she can't remember me.... but I will always appreciate her knowledge of the subject and how she presented it.... I loved her class and lectures.

gives good lecture notes on terms...if you come to class and take good notes you will be fine...your breakout teacher really is the one who makes the class hard or not...furdell just gives you the notes and she does a good job at it...dont need the book just take notes

I love her class. The tests weren't hard, and if you can't make it to a class you read the book. I my opinion it is easier to go to the lectures for 50 min then read the chapter. She give extra credit when there is a low class attendance. Reading is only homework. I would definitely take her class again if i could.

I loved her class. Took her for Tudor-Stuart England. She would always make random jokes in class and give us extra credit when class attendance was low. You must go to every class and read the assigned books to do well, but its worth it.

While attemtoing to captivate her student's desire to learn Furdell is simply speaking because she enjoys the sound of her own voice. She is unwilling to compromise with her students. You can lecture all day, but that doesnt mean your students learned one minute's worth of information. Poor Teaching. Does not have the gift!

She was great, she knows her stuff! I just found her classes rather difficult. She is there for you but she is really picky. Her in class tests were simple but there was a lot of reading! Her midterms and finals are hard, even though you think you have the subject down you need to now everything. She was great, but she WILL put you to work!

I had a hard time staying awake during her classes. Tons and tons of reading and unclear on quiz/exam expectations and material. Ok only if you a lot of free time, do not work, and are only taking one or two courses a semester. Very disappointed.
