Dr. Gordon is amazing! She's an awesome person that genuinely cares about her students loving chemistry and does not expect anyone to become a chemist. She picks interesting, applicable topics to talk about and is a fair grader. She even wrote her own textbook so we did not have to pay for one. If you need CHM 101 take it with Dr. Gordon!!

I loved her for chm for non majors. She realized no one was there for the chemistry, and concentrated on topics that were fairly interesting and not overly technical. Not too hard, but you need to take thorough notes and memorize them before the tests. Gives some opportunities for extra credit.

I took her non-majors chem class. It was still pretty tough. You'll get out of it a better understanding of real-world chem, but she's vague about what's on the tests, and that's tough. Still, it's the BEST science option you've got out there, and she'll give you opportunities to save your grade. Take it if you can get into it, it fills up quickly

Gordon is the best. I consider her a good friend. I got an A, but you need to go to class and take notes because the tests are directly off of the notes. Write detailed notes, memorize for an hour and you will get 100's on the tests. Incredibly helpful and a wonderful person.

Great professor. Very very helpful, and tons of extra credit. Realizes that most students aren't chemistry majors so she makes it very relevant to real world.

Terrible! She had a complex! She acted like she was too good to be teaching us chemistry. On a lab I was asking her a question about a sheet she gave us, and she walked away mid-sentence. Like she didn't have time for my petty questions! BE WARNED

Loved this class. Interesting subject matter relating to current issues. If you took chemistry in high school, you will probably get an B minimum. Do the extra credit. I did about a night's worth or work a week, and pulled a B+. She's not bad to look at either.
