She's condescending. She's rude. She's unresponsive and irritating and honestly sometimes I don't know if she had any idea what she was doing. It was one of the worst experiences I had with a teacher, and it left a bad mark on my feelings for the art department here.

I email her and she doesn't email back. I ask her about it and she says she got the email. She will not help. Grades about very picky things, doesn't want students to have their own voice. Seems to not understand students have other classwork. Reading 50 pages every night along with page of notes.

She is confusing at first but i have taken 4 of her classes and she is WONDERFUL. She is very helpful and gave me alot of things when I was in a bad way. She is very sweet and you get what you put into it. design= easy, photo= LOVED IT very free to do w/e, printmaking= AWESOME. Art is hard work! but I got all A's

wow. Never came closer to asking for a refund of my tuition in my entire college career than with this chick. Truly. Awfully. Awkward. Not awkward in like the "Office" way, but like the seriously annoying way. Have fun. Oh and it will be a ridiculous workload that eats your weeks and makes you dislike a fun hobby!

she is not a good teacher... very UNCLEAR, and exams are extrememly hard and unclear... You'd think photography would be fun, but this class almost scared me away from it for good. Do yourself a favor- dont judge photography based on Heil. She isnt very helpful either, and seems really rude sometimes. She never offers to help.

What is going on upstairs? She's never quite clear on what she wants from her student's work and her exams sometimes don't make sense. Not quite sure why she's still teaching at Roanoke. The class was fun but too restricting...I thought I would enjoy the class, but I really just enjoyed hanging out with the people in the darkroom... need's help.

She is such an awful teacher...nothing she says makes sense...half of the class is a lecture...the oter day she made us watch a video for 45mins and it taught me NOTHING..she gives tests which I think is not right for a studio art class..and expects you to spend a min of 10 hrs a week on art...she def picks favorites too!!! ughhhh hate herr
