Recommended. Attendance not required. Doesn't really know what's going on too much. Grade based off of exams only, but you get to use an index card for them. Curves the grades.

He is completely monotone, pronounces words wrong on a regular basis. He is a generally nice person, just not a good professor. He does take your best 4 exams scores out of 5 exams, so yes the worst 1 gets dropped. And if you have perfect attendance then you get 4% points added to your overall grade which is what's going to save me.

He is so boring and monotone, and should not be teaching 9AM classes. He'll mix up 2 terms teach the lesson mixing them up realize half way through class correct himself and tell you to forget everything we've covered that day and that we're going to start over. Which is confusing as no other to try and re-learn the information correctly

Horrible teacher. Doesn't take attendance. I try so hard every TR to go to this class, take notes and pay attention. Impossible. Sounds like ben stein. Class is literally a joke. All the grades are just your exams that you take which are 5 of them including final.

No textbook! Awesome guy. He is not hard at all and works with the students much more than any other professor. He is easy to talk to and has a sense of humor. If you are going to take his Poverty in America class you will be able to focus on harder classes at the same time. Easy grader!

This class was kinda boring but all Economics is to me. Dyal is SUPER sweet and willing to help and his jokes are kinda funny, but he is monotone and kina boring at times. Overall, not too bad except for the fact that I never used the book.

Very difficult teacher. Unless you're gifted and already know the subject you're bound to struggle. He is very monotone. I'm hearing impaired and couldn't understand him and when I asked for help, he told me just to study harder. He wasn't helpful at all. I would never take a class from him ever again.

Horrible teacher. Did not want to help when asked questions. If you didn't agree with him, he would tell you to keep quiet. An ECON class and we didn't talk about the current economic situation of the country! I would not recommend taking him. No textbook used for reference, so you better have VERY good notes.

He sounds just like the Clear Eyes commercial with Ben Stein. He is the most boring man I've ever met. I would try every class to pay attention but ended up fighting to keep my eyes open every single class.

Didn't use a textbook for Urban Regional Econ. Class was pretty easy and moved kind of slow. There were 3 tests and a presentation. Presentation is an easy A unless you have no idea what you're talking about. Becomes story time if/when he gets off track. Take Dr. Dyal, cool guy and easy class.

His voice has an uncanny resemblance to the "clear eyes" guy. Monotone. He sometimes veered off to an completely unrelated topic, but is an easy and nice teacher.

Dont listen to anyone who says this guy a bad prof. He loves to compare economic ideas in terms of hoagies and pizzas. Very funny, looks like he's lost all the time. As long as you go to class, you will get an A. No required attendance, but he gives bonus for perfect attendance. No homework, notecards for tests. Highly recommend this guy.

He was a rediculously boring old man. He nearly fell asleep everyday in class. Due to his lack of enthusiasm to teach, nothing was taught and students were left out in the cold. He told me that being in the hospital was no excuse to miss his class. I don't know how he achieved the status of being a Professor.

terribly boring... extremely lazy and disorganized... the only reason tests are hard is because he is scatterbrained and there is no book to refer to...so you are left confused. Don't count on having him help you during his office hours. ugh. I would never take him again.

Jim is a good prof. He's a little disorganized with his papers, takes a while to get class started. Teaches to the least intelligent member of the class. Explanations are usually pretty clear. Very friendly. Wrote the text we use himself, leads to some difficulty in re-wording concepts if you don't understand what the book says. Exam notecard=YES.
