Nice lady, great heart. Very unclear. Happy to help after class, but still not very clear if you approach with further questions. Not very helpful and not very patient in class. Wish I would've taken a different Prof. Least favorite class.

If you are at Moody, please see if you can get into Lightbody's Life on Life Discipleship. It is a great class, that just gets you back to the basics. It pushes you and she pushes you. Great teacher, and a great small class. I enjoyed class with her every week

Her cultural anthropology class was excellent. It really opened my eyes to the fact that people groups out there are not all alike! Not everyone is like you! She did a really good job of showing that and I learned alot. AAA+++

Dr. Lightbody is a fantastic educator. More important than anything 'taught' is what is 'caught'. Her life exudes grace and her love for the Lord and for the world is simply contagious. One cannot help but hope to emulate her in word, speech, conduct and in living out their faith. Her teaching style is excellent! You WANT to take her courses.

Sometimes a little unclear, but if you pay attention, she is one of the most incredible teachers you'll ever take. I've taken her for two classes and still use her material years later. Not only was she good in class, but she also took time on the side to offer wise council when I was making some of the biggest decisions of my life. Very helpful.

While other comments on here could have been told with a bit more tact, there is a level of truth to them. It is easy to be distracted and her style of teaching is less than captivating. I wouldn't recommend her, especially for early morning classes. Nice woman with a good heart, but I would look into other options.

Whoever rated Lightbody with 5111 obviously slept through her class(es). I've taken them all (seriously) and she's an amazing woman with a great heart for the Lord. Sometimes she lacks clarity, but she IS gracious and understanding if you have a lEgItImAtE problem/concern. Love that lady....

Wow, anonymity isn't a license to attack! She's completely fair and has had a life full of missions experience. She's worth listening to for those reasons alone. She shares information that's pertinent to the mission field and true to its experience.

She taught the world religions class fair, but stunk it up in cultural anthropology. Anthropology the only thing she got across was go into a culture and take notes. Culture is a bit (a lot) more than that, I'm sorry to say.
