Honestly, I never read the book for this class. I just simply took very good notes and I finished with an -A. Once you learn her style the class is easy.

I had her for neuroscience this past semester, she goes really fast through her notes and doesn't post anything on oaks. So attendance is mandatory with weekly quizzes, and there not easy. Going to her office doesn't help and she refuses to give a 100. I'm a science major and I really wanted to take this class but she took all the fun out of it

SO, SO HORRIBLE. completely RUINED my love for neuroscience. She flies through the material, makes you feel like an idiot when you ask for clarification. Went to her office hours for help and she acted bothered by me and so entitled, says she'll be happy to help but isn't. Makes the material much harder than it needs to be and so miserable. AVOID!!

Not really sure where the good comments came from- students that did research with her too? I go in for help & email & she answers my questions very vaguely. Will kick you out of class if phone rings/vibrates, so make sure it's silent before class. Lots of reading. She has the biggest sense of entitlement I've ever exp'd. Info is fun tho!

She was really really hard. Lab is included in the grade so expect to spend alot of time on it. Sometimes wouldn't get papers back for up to 3 weeks. So for weeks you are turning in stuff that you don't know is wrong but is.

It's obvious that the neuroscience students who give her a bad rating are psychology majors. Her style requires students to THINK instead of simply memorizing facts. Students should appreciate her fast-paced style as that's what they'll get in grad school. I'm in med school now and consistently appreciate how hard she was!

this section was harder than hell. she talks really fast & assumes you already know most of it. MUST READ the textbook far in advance of test. willing to help, but even after going 2 office hours, material was still unclear. the tutor they hired didnt know more than we did

definitely a hard prof. important to go to class and take good notes. def read text each week b/c it is very in depth and pretty impossible to read last minute, but it really helps you to fully grasp the material. studied alot for her section of the class, but it was always night or day before. best advice: keep up w the material each week & study!

Absolutely hard as hell, but absolutely a great person and teacher. She FLIES through information, but only because there is a lot of it and she expects you to learn very nitty-gritty details. However, this IS a 300 level bio course so you should be able to deal with it. She's also a GREAT prep for graduate school class expectations.

Dr. MB is super great! Comp. phys. on the other hand is not. You really will learn a lot, but be prepared to spend hours studying! Lab reports are harshly graded, but she is fair. She expects a lot out of you, but if you are willing to put forth 100%, then you can do well. Probably the hardest BIO class there is, but you will learn your stuff.

A good professor teaching a hard class. Her tests were really challenging and way too long for a 50 min. class. She is always willing to help though. She teaches the lab too and it is very interesting. Lab reports are difficult and she is very picky about how it is done. If you are going to take this class, be willing to work hard.

Worst teacher I have ever had at CofC. She was rarely able to answer questions from students... A fellow classmate had to answer the questions for her. Tests are unrepresentative of subject matter and much more difficult than necessary. Do NOT take her!

she's hard, but she's a great professor. She's pretty eager to help once you get beyond the fact that she's somewhat intimidating at first! It's a hard class, but I learned so much!!! Her lab reports are tough though...

Although this was one of my hardest classes with a whole lotta work, it was very interesting, especially lab. I recommend trying to get previous tests from others (it helped out). If you are looking for an easy ride, this is far from it. Although i struggled, it is still one of my favorite classe

Tough, Tough, Tough. Tests from powerpoint, book (which she expects to read 40+ pages per lecture), and lab. Grades labs like a demon. Intimidating woman. Only 3 tests in class. Extremely difficult!!

She's not very helpful. There's only 2 test in the class.Gets annoyed when you ask questions or for help. Not very approachable. Gives you tons of information, she pulls info. from everywhere & anywhere for tests. Awful class. AVOID IT IF POSSIBLE!
