As an intro psych class, I feel she made the class much harder than other intro psych classes. We had 1-2 pop quizzes from material we had to for class that day without her teaching it to us, making the quizzes quite hard. Our tests were all open ended, definitions, and essay based. I did learn a lot in the class by taking my own notes though.

This class was one of the easiest classes I have taken at Allegheny so far, and a lot of the material was common sense. The professor was always enthusiastc about the material, but did not go about teaching it in the most effective way. Class was often times boring. If you want an easy A, I recommend taking her class.

The professor is very enthusiastic about the material and is always willing to answer questions. The class required a lot of reading and there were frequent pop quizzes. Tests are cumulative and are only challenging if you don't pay attention in class. There were no lectures in this class, as it was a flipped classroom (working in groups).

She is so far the worst professor I have had at Allegheny. I did not learn anything worth my time or money in this class. I spent way too much time reading dumb articles that were entirely too long. The class is only about feminism and quilting, and was incredibly boring. 0/10 would not recommend taking this class. Worst decision of my life.

Lecture would be better if she provided a powerpoint, or at least more clearly highlighted important topics. Seems to glaze over the concepts, which make the tests difficult. She also needs to provide better examples for the tests when it comes to vocabulary. Overall is a very nice professor but the class can be a little vague in its concepts.

She gave exams on identifying quilts & took off random points on writing assignments leaving little to no feedback &/or justification for lost points. For a class that was supposed to be about scrap arts, all we did was talk about women & quilting. The readings were 30+ pages & she would assign up to 3 at a time. Terrible prof 1/10 do not recommend

This class is super scattered. She doesnt give clear definitions or examples for the term but expects definitions and examples on the test. She assigns a lot of projects and outside work in the community but after talking about them in class multiple times and going to office hours I still didnt fully understand. Theres just no structure.

This professor is wonderfully intelligent. She is a hard but just grader, and is very personable. This class was very entertaining and I learned a lot. My plethora of one-on-one conversations with her has informed as well as inspired me. As a woman who has been working for Allegheny for several years, she still has her spunk.

Really not as bad as others make her out to be. There are reading quizzes about once a week, but if you read the textbook when assigned, you get easy points. The tests are challenging and she doesn't grade easily, but as long as you do the work and pay attention in class, you shouldn't have a problem. Lots of extra credit too. Very nice lady

I would not recommend this class to anyone unless you want to be frustrated 24/7. If you like sewing, the quilting parts are fun, but holy nuts her assignments are horrid. She gives you papers and reflections every other week with confusing guidelines. She was constantly changing the syllabus and if you go against her opinion you're doomed to fail.

This class was a lot of work for a 100-level. We had 3 week-long "self-improvement" projects with 4-5 page papers, 40-50 pgs of reading a week, and frequent quizzes and tests. Ozorak was never boring, and the work were easy to do, but we skimmed the surface of some deep issues. Good to fulfill a requirement, but not if you want to think hard.

"respect her and she will respect you"- i couldn't say it better myself. I had her for Quilts, Stories, and Social Change and it was my favorite class. The material was very interesting, and the projects were fun and personal. If you show interest in the course, she will be very helpful and understanding. Do not laugh at her or talk over her.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. Never ever take Community Psychology, it is the most useless class. Useless information about great Meadville is, and she thinks you have no life outside of class because of the community service requirement, massive project, and absolutely pointless readings in a horrible textbook, AND unfairly graded exams. DO NOT TAKE

I felt it only fair to give warning. I received a B in her first class and an F in her second. I spoke to her about it and her explanation made no sense to me. She is certainly not the worst teacher I ever had, but she is the only one that ever failed me. Take her at your own risk.

i hate this woman. During this class i was: graded on how well i could tell a story, forced to sew quilts with old people, forced to miss another class to volunteer in erie, forced to wake up at 6am to volunteer on a saturday, forced to write a paper about how Meadville is a "creative" town. she is insane and a terrible teacher, never take her ever

THE most boring Professor at Allegheny I've ever had. She loves to hear herself talk and will use up every bit of class time. I have not learned a single thing in her lectures. It is very hard to care about readings. Someone said "If I had five minutes left to live I'd spend it in Ozorak's class, because it would feel like an eternity" on her SRE.

Challenging, but very approachable, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Respect her and she will respect you. Disrespect her, and you lose the opportunity to have a wonderful prof on your side.
