This is the easiest class I've ever taken. I read all of the books to write the weekly papers we had, but you could easily just look everything up on sparknotes and get an A on them. You don't have to go to class if you have a friend to sign you in. I think I went maybe five times the whole semester and got an A. Take this if you need an easy class

Uber easy A, grades all based on your papers and take home final. Easy readings.There's a weekly paper but it's not hard. Just tedious. She takes attendance but you can come in sign the attendance and just do hw. She's super boring, reads the book with you in class and just talks and talks and talks.

Had her for Spiritual Autobiography this year and though the class was extremely easy it is also VERY boring and attendance is required so you have to go. If you don't mind writing then I'd take this class because that is really all that it consists of. She is really a brilliant woman and extremely nice, but she needs to liven up the class at bit!

Absolutely brilliant. Never at a loss for words, I'm shocked every lecture by how intelligent she really is-truly incredible. Unfathomably passionate and eloquent. Very nice woman, definitely get to know her! She can be pretty funny too. Can be disorganized, but always takes responsibility for this. Unbelievably understanding and helpful <3her

I took Comp Lit Spiritual Autobiography and loved it. I learned so much about other cultures. More importantly though, Elizabeth Petroff is the nicest woman I have ever met. So understanding, so thoughtful, ready to drop whatever she's doing to help any student. I loved her! She is easy to relate to too. Would definitely recommend her classes!

this class is probably the easiest AL/AT gened requirement. she is very nice, and really knows her material. i found her lectures very engaging and interesting. take home final, and a five 1-2 page papers. grade really depends on your TA as they do all the grading. 1/3 is the final 1/3 response papers and 1/3 autobiographies

Wonderful teacher. I had her for Myths of the Feminine. It was boring for the first week or two, but I ended up loving it. I learned soo much, and useful information too. I now have a Indp. Study with her. She's very helpful, thoughtful, and approachable. I definitely recommend her.

She is the nicest woman ever. There are no tests or quizzes just short response papers or papers about yourself. Easily graded and if not you just re-write them to get an A. Barely have to read and the readings that are necessary are not long or hard. Attendance is mandatory but you can just do other work in class. Def worth it to fill the gen-ed

Sweetest woman. The lectures are definitely pretty boring, most people just do other homework in that class, but it's an easy A. The papers are very easy but they also make you think. I actually didn't mind writing them. Overall, I would recommend this class because it's easy, it covers 2 gen.eds, and it's actually kinda interesting.

She is such a sweet woman and even helped me learn a little about myself. The lectures certainly can be boring, but when you pay attention she highlights the main points for you and reading the books becomes less of a necessity.

The class has about 200 people in it,and she uses a microphone thats barely turned on.All we do in class is go over the readings due for that day.We basically read it together in class.She takes attendance through a sign in sheet.That was the only reason why I went.I ended up doing the readings in class, and didn't listen to her.pretty easy...

She was not helpful, did not answer emails, was not willing to talk to students, and the only thing we covered in class was the reading that was due that day... and we covered it by re-reading directly from the book. Did I mention this was in a couple hundred person lecture?

Myth of the Feminine: She changed my life. she is the best. the class is not hard, the only difficulty is keeping up with the readings. She is so interested in what you are doing and provides good material to read and exposes you to things that really make you think. awesome.
