I'm grateful for Professor Pierce's teaching material beyond school. You learn some super useful real world stuff, especially the resume portfolio and other professionalisms. A class with Pierce is seriously a positive step for your professional development. She's a wonderful educator and a kind hearted human being. Be nice to her lol, she's cool

Professor Pierce is passionate, helpful, and engaging. Her class is interesting and she makes sure her students know the material. If you work hard and participate in class, there is no reason you shouldn't get at least a B.

I only had her for a couple of classes since she had health issues. In those couple of classes, she really dug down deep into the subject, and got us all thinking. I wish I could have had her for the rest of the semester because she knows her stuff, communicates well, and ispassionate. She embarrassed bad writers of the past like it was a fetish.

Professor Pierce was really passionate about her subject. She'd bring in extra info that wasn't included in the texts. She's done her research. She is very funny and takes what could be very boring material and makes it interesting. Take her. You won't regret it.

She frequently was rude to students, and brushed off any opinions differing from her own. She made light of suicide by refrencing self harm acts she would do if we weren't talkative. She also made fun of people for supporting political candidates she did not agree with. I don't even have enough words to say how horrible this class truly was.

Best professor I've had this semester. Whole class wrote a long essay using MLA format. As long as you read and do the homework on time, that's about it for the entire semester. Read a book and write a paper. She's nice, and I passed the class.

Only the weak and lazy comment negatively. I believe everyone should be speaking highly of professor Pierce. She is a great teacher, very thorough with teaching MLA and she really encourages you to do your best. If you don't have what it takes to actually do college level work, don't take her class. Great person, great course. Highly recommended.

Said to entire class not joking, "If you get a 70-80% in my class then you're doing well." What kind of motivation and outlook does that leave for your students? Just an awful professor, if she doesn't like you she'll be extremely rude, give others another chance to resubmit assignments but not you,I could go on. Do yourself a favor, don't take her

Literally the worst professor I have ever had! Doesn't elaborate or describe any assignmentsprojects, constantly taking class time talking about her catpersonal life. Very tough grader with no logic or reason for the harsh grades. Not helpful at all & not willing to work with you if she doesn't like you she will take it out on your grade!

I found humanities really interesting, but Professor Pierce made it very stressful. I did not enjoy this class. If you don't share in class, you'll hurt your grade. Make sure you show whoever is presentinglecturing respect, she will get upset if you don't (which is fine, but that's a heads up!) Can't turn in late assignments. Wouldn't take again..

Great professor, but too open. Her class was like an open therapy session. Her and another student constantly sharing personal things, too personal. She dropped me because my last absence took place during a car accident I was involved in and claimed I wasn't present last class either. Which wasn't true but I didn't argue.

The submission from 4/26/13 tells it like it really is. If you had something positive to say about this professor it is because you were bullied into submission for fear of expulsion or a failing grade. Or maybe the good submissions were by her. The worst kind of role model ever! Save yourself from a horrible experience and choose anyone else!!!!

Professor Pierce is one of the best at MCC. She is funny, quirky, and makes class fun. She can be very particular on writing, but this is necessary for this type of writing in the business world. A word of advice, don't be disrespectful to her or she will dislike you, which is fair. Take this class if you want to be challenged, and learn a lot.

This is by far one of the best teachers. Just go to class and read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (Amazing Book), and do your work. I didn't like her at first I wanted to drop the class the first day but I stayed in it and was amazed how much my writing skills improved. Great Professor!
