The class is hard! But that's not her fault! It takes doing the practice problems and asking questions to do well. She is not well organized, but you can follow her still. Granted the class is too fast paced but not her fault. She's so sweet and a good teacher individually. Not a class to sleep in. Her tests are easier and other chem teachers.

Took her for both CHEM161 and CHEM162 and absolutely loved it. She's willing to help outside of class at any time, and her tests and quizzes aren't too hard as long as you pay attention in class. I would have no problem taking another chemistry class with her.

She's extremely hard to follow and is not very good at explaining herself. I think she would be better in higher level classes because she knows what she's talking about but she's not good at explaining it in a Gen Chem class. I didn't have trouble with chem until this class.

I took 161/162 lecture and 162 lab with Mitchell - first semester I found her a bit difficult to follow because she talks very fast and often assumes the class understands what she's talking about, but second semester I loved her! If you have any questions, she's more than happy to help. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT.

Some people should just not be professors. Professor Mitchell was a nice person, and always tried to help when asked, but she was extremely disorganized and very difficult to understand. We hardly covered anything on topic in class - she'd go off on tangents and then we were expected to do well on quizzes. I really liked chem prior to this class...

she's a smart woman, she's just very unorganized. her labs are unprepared and all over the place ... she needs to get her stuff together before expecting respect from her students. i personally can't stand having her as a teacher.

ugh...she was such a nice lady and willing to help all the time...but some people just are not meant to be teachers...i found it so hard to listen to anything she said...she never made sense..and was extremely hard to follow in class.
