Professor Shave is a very knowledgeable and thorough instructor in all phases of the Computer Technology field. She is more than fair with her grading and the amount of homework she gives and is very accessible to any student needing extra help. As long as you show you care and show up, she will go the extra mile for you.

Professor Shave was confusing at times. Her grammar etc was always wrong and drove me nuts. I did not understand a lot of subject matter in this class, however she was very fair. Even though i had difficulty my hardwork paid off and i recieved a B

Professor Shave teaches you the fundamentals of programming, providing groundwork to learn all other languages. She is a nice lady, you just have to understand her sense of humor (which I personally found hilarious). Grading criteria is crystal clear. Just show up for class, spend more then 5 minutes doing your homework, and you will do well.

I have had Ms Shave for Operating Systems, Data Comms, and Software Design. She is a very DRY teacher, but she is EXTREMELY fair. As another poster said-- She really WANTS you to pass. This semester she allowed me to do an extra credit project so I would get an A. She also allowed me to redo to take review tests late. Very very very FAIR.

Definitely makes you work for your grade, but it's worth it, because you do learn. Was always willing to help when I needed it, and would give alternate examples when someone didn't understand something. She also let us students chime in when we felt we could explain something, which in turn helped us learn as well.

Decent teacher. Seems willing to explain things if someone is having a hard time, but I didn't need any help. Lectures simply reiterated the text, so attendence is not really needed. Course was easy.

Not a great teacher. You are expected to read the entire text; its impossible. Theres too much to read in a short period of time. She is NOT lenient about late work. This hurts your grade big time. If you take 1 of her classes, plan on only taking at the most 2 other courses. She expects you to spend all of your time studying for her course. AVOID.
