Dr. Stout was the absolute best Professor I ever had... and I had his film classes in the late 70's! He is an outstanding educator and one of the most decent human beings I've ever known. He is a true all star.

Stout is the ideal professor. Wise and hilarious, I looked forward to his class every time. The tests were stressful, but were really necessary in order to understand him fully. Also, he's fluent in Turkish, which is just amazing. Definitely my favorite professor ever!

One of my favorite profs at DU. He could take what seemed to be the most uninteresting lesson and make you love it in 50 minutes. His lectures are fun and engaging. Tests are very difficult, but if you study well, youll do fine. Will be missed.

Dr. Stout is an amazing professor. His lectures are very goodâ€"they are something like what I imagine 1820s Oxford lectures to be like. An absolute genius. Could teach half the humanities courses at Denison. Speaks five languages, I think.
