I took two classes with Dr. Laguna on the spring 2011. He is a very charming professor; knows how to explain things clearly. It is just incredible how great his knowledge is. Readings were required, but those and the class itself were very interesting.It's sad that he is retiring. I will miss him.I wish I had taken more classes with him. :)

He's very nice Professor, funny which is good too, because the class is not boring. Definitely i learned a lot because he assigned us to read Don Quijote de la Mancha interesting book and showed how universal the book is and translated in all languages which i didn't know. Very fair grader, i highly recommend u guys u won't regret.

The class was extremely hard and his accent is hard to understand sometimes, however he is a great teacher and he lets you use your own ideas. He is also very entertaining and very nice in and outside the class. If you need help in your other classes (spanish/philosophy) ask him. He'll be more than happy to help.

I had one class with him and then did the Rutgers Study Abroad with him and his wife. He's hilarious and I learned more from his class then all my Spanish classes combined. He's just so charming and down to earth. Do yourself a favor and take class with him!

great teacher, doens't believe in surprise exams or quizes, he tells you wat is goin to be on the exam, and curves, he never fails anyone, unless u dont come to class and dont take ur exams (mid-term & final)
