Professor Newman is an all around excellent professor. She really does care about her students learning and grasping the new material. The homework and tests are spaced to give enough time per chapter. Professor Newman gives a lot of feedback, explains the material thoroughly, and makes sure her students are aware of all of the available resources.

Comment:

She cares and does a great job presenting material. I don't remember seeing any cursive writing as one commented except for a few math symbols. No big deal. She is fair and gives really good explanations. She was lots of help, especially for a hybrid course. You still have to do your work though and can't be lazy.

She is helpful and responds to emails fast. I took this as a pass or fail in a hybrid class. You meet once a week, do homework questions online, and take the final in class with a limited function calculator she gives everyone. She writes in cursive and really small to fit all practice problems on the board and sometimes gets off topic so beware

Professor Newman is an amazing professor!!! If you need help in math, she is there to help you. My class was a hybrid, so we only met-up once a week, but she always answers emails supper fast. Professor Newman wants everyone to excel in math and will help you to do it. Your attendance goes to extra credit. I would definitely recommend her!!!

This was a hybrid course, so we saw her half the amount of time that a land class would have. She made expectations very clear, and the grading was really fair. I felt that she was very prompt in feedback.

Her lectures can be confusing. The class I took was hybrid but the in class time was basically her writing stuff on the board and the students taking notes. Not everyone learns best that way so be careful.

I took the hybrid course of MTH 096 so everything was done online except the Final which was done in the classroom. We meet once a week but to be honest I made it to a few classes. She does give you extra points at the end of the semester for showing up to class though.

I took Elsie for a hybrid MTH 096. She gives you two weeks to complete two homework assignments. If you go to class the one time a week she explains everything that's going to be on the homework and tests. She gives you Friday-Sunday to complete tests. I would take her for my next math class if she taught it, also gives EC at the end for showing up

In this web course, the instructor's test problems were from the assigned homework, and that was a real plus. She contacted us often to make sure we knew what to expect. She made sure we understood that this was not self-paced and she seemed to always be there when I encountered problems. Give her an A+.

Teacher likes to micro-manage your every move and doesnt encourage you to work at your own pace. Pre-tests and homework help but the test questions are way more complex and not explained in the subject matter very well. Current online student and the test questions do not relate to the examples, videos or homework provided.
