He's a very funny teacher, even though I didn't give him a good rating. I had him for the Tech Writing section of ENGS 115. He's funny the way in which he stresses the importance of writing!!! His class requires alot of hard work and effort and you need to be awesome at writing to pass

Silverman is a funny guy but an awful teacher. He rambles a lot and doesn't explain step by step how to program anything or use excel at all. He makes his 116 class a lot harder than it should be. Don't take him if you don't have to.

So you thought youd pick silverman because he looked easier than Mauro? Wrong. Hes a nice guy sure, but impossible to understand, Cant stay focused, cant help you, unorganized...etc. If you have no prior knowledge of vba, you already have a C. Theres two kinds of people in class: Those who do the work and those who copy them.

Personal opinion: Nice guy but cant teach if his life depended on it. Very very nice guy...Advice: DONT TALK even if he doesn't tell you anything about it...Pay attention...ask questions, go to him in his office hours...get his attention since he tends to forget a lot of things. You wont understand him so dont bother, learn things on your own! luck

Silverman is a good guy. He's helpful and can be amusing inside and outside of class. He gives lots of extra credit, so there's no reason not to pull an A or B+. He rambles a bit in class, but his notes--notes he posts online--are pretty clean cut

This guy is a real industry guy. He teaches reality, in terms of how stuff will help you succeed in real life. What is the use of school, if it doesnt help you succeed in the indudstry. He brings self motivation/creativity out of engineers.
