Dr. Graves was an unspecific professor when it came to the tests/quizzes. When I asked what I got on final he wrote a very rude and hurtful email telling me that I shouldn't have ever came to rose. Very disrespectful. Frequently missed his own class. Taught algebra the first 2 weeks for an unknown reason. ??

You get a ton of homework. I felt a lot was busy work using Maple. The by hand things, he tells you what you need to know but does not do examples or go into it at all. So anything by hand on exams and the final, I was cloudy on. His class was not very difficult. I just felt that I didnt fully get concepts because we were using Maple.

Dr. Graves is a great person, he just doesn't teach to my liking. I found that he does less teaching and more of telling you what you need to know. Goes off on tangents and can be funny. Tons of homework and quizzes. But, he knows his Math really well.

Dr. Graves is a pretty awesome guy. He goes off on tangents every once in a while, but when it comes down to it, he knows what he's talking about. Practice exams are sometimes hard to find, but if you can find one or get a file then you're pretty much set. Assigns a ton of homework but gives you a reasonable amount of time to do it

Dr. Graves is an awesome professor. He is always ready to help. In MA111, he assigned HW everyday, which could sometimes get cumbersome. His tests are straightforward and he makes sure you have enough time to complete each test. Overall, he was always willing to help and wanted each of his students to succeed.

Fantastic prof. Best math teacher at rose. Explains himself very well. He assigns homework assignments every day, but you can do all of them on Maple so its pretty easy. He has review sessions before every test that I highly recommend. Overall great experience, would take him again.

I had him for Fast Track Calculus and he's a great guy. He goes on comical tangents but he's also excellent at explaining things and teaching. He's been very helpful outside of FTC too. Even though he says some odd stuff, he does genuinely care about his students and I enjoy stopping in his office occasionally. I would recommend both FTC and him.

Dr. Graves is really nice. He is really good at explaining things and sometimes takes you places outside of the class room (like a hill on campus to explain gradient vectors). This man really cares about his students and has done so for a long time. Would definitely recommend him for Fast Track Calculus and any other math class.

Great guy and an amazing teacher. One of the best math teachers ive had. Explains things multiple different ways to make sure you understand. Take this man's class if you are able to, you WILL NOT REGRET IT.

He's a nice guy. Homework is very long at first but it gets much more reasonable. Always there before first period if you have questions. Friendly, although sometimes acts frustrated (it's really just excitement!). No partial credit on quizzes and most tests so be very careful with your work. Lets you redo any HW, which is great.

Dr. Graves was an awesome professor. I had him for calculus 2 and loved it. He is always there to help and his lectures were always related to test material. Go to his review sessions before each test because he will go over everything that will be on the test. If you do your homework and actually try in this course, you will get an easy A.

Passionate about the students and the subject. He works hard to ensure students understand the topic, so most students leave with a good grade as well as an understanding of the subject. However, he works at his own pace; there was a bit of material on the final that we did not cover in class.

Sometimes he seems kinda crazy and goes off on strange tangents. Very good professor though, makes things clear. Grades tests very strictly, but he is usually clear before hand for what small things he will take big points off for.

Professor Graves is straight forward and teaches material in a way that can be easily understood. Lets students know what topics will be covered on tests and is extremely accommodating if you have any conflicts need extra time. Took him for MA 102 and MA 113. Number one in the math department by far!

Graves is pretty much my hero. I had him for Fast Track and for DE1. He always explained well in class, and while his assignments (for DE1) were daily, they would be only about an hour of work. His tests were easy if you did the homework. The only thing: be prepared to spend an hour talking to him if you go to his office hours.

He is a good professor, he does mistakes as any human bean. However, that is OK and fixable. For me it was a little bit difficult to flow his writing on the board. He hands notes but I never used them, I preferred taking my own notes. If you have any difficulty he would be very helpful. I really recommend him.
