She's the most boring professor I've had at STCL. K2 was literally naptime. But her exam was laughably easy. I taught myself K2 in about two days. Get yourself a good outline because she's not gonna teach you much, just gonna put you to sleep.

Comment:

Her examples and lectures are not coherent so it's difficult to actually get the material. Her sample questions continually change the scenario and she's not great at using the cases in the case book. Lots of supplemental reading.

A nice and pleasant woman in class,but her exams tough. U will likely feel that the light and easy classroom lecture and discussion wasnt indicative of the exam difficulty,so do all the work precisely. Using a bar prep site to review for her final prob wont help much,as her exams very specific.

This prof was not my favorite, but there are some good things worth mentioning about her. 1) the exam is fair. 2) she is helpful if you catch her out of class or even after class. On the other hand, my biggest criticism is that her presentation style needs work.

This is a dull subject with a lot of focus on the restatement and UCC. Powers uses power points in her lecture that can be quite boring to stare at. Recitation is not too bad and she gives you the opportunity to fix a blown recitation later on. Ample preparation for the exam through practice exams on the lib. web site as well as in class.

She's a good teacher. It's her style that is a little lacking. I think if you took that PowerPoint away from her you would get a completely differnt prof. I can't see how people, in my class at least, can criticize her when an entire section continually showed up unprepared! It's rude and makes me wonder why you are in law school at all.

I wish I had taken someone else. this woman's teaching style sucked. non-stop powerpoints. Recitation is easy, if you havn't read she just lets it go. Definatly no one to fear. Exam is open notes, won't help much if you slept through class though.

Great prof! Yes class was kind of boring, but it's a reflection of the subject matter, not this professor. Truly kind lady, fair exam. Overall, I had a great experience in her class. I would definitely suggest taking the Langdell course in addition to this class!

Powers is the best professor I've ever had. She was the only prof my first semester to truely use the Socratic method. People call her boring, but I'm not sure what one could do to make Contracts exciting.
